WOW they played UT once. I guess all the other games played a very small part in their season Eh?

yep he kinda gave it too them on two plays yesturday
thats because ainge is a poor excuse for a qb.......almost as poor of an excuse as kirby freeman
Ainge can look good on some plays and the very next play youre like " where in the hell did that come from".

Does the name Chris Rix ring a bell?? LOL
Yeah, UT keep making trips out west to get your QBs and keep letting the local talent go north, south, east and west...
They are just going for the most talent. There isn't very often that you find top talent in this area, especially at QB.
Phillips from South could have played at UT. No doubt in my mind. I think you need a QB who can run a little. He fits that mold. He is Teabow with less power but a little more quickness. He will be a force at Wisconsin with those big linemen. Wait and see.
If we can pull a rabbit out of our hat and land Terrell Pryor, people will be asking Curt Phillips, Who?
I think UT should have went after Curt Phillips more but who knows maybe he said he didn't want to go there from the get go and UT backed off, you never know.

Granted, but UT pulling a rabbit like Terrelle Pryor out of their hat would be the equivalent of a drunk sloth pulling a steriod-treated cottontail rabbit out of a 50 foot-round hat.
In other words...no chance. Pryor's likely tOSU*, PSU, UF, or WVU bound. Texas and UT have outside shots. The only thing I've ever read that he's said about UT is that he likes the coaches there, and that's it. He's already taken an official to tOSU*, and came away liking that trip a lot. PSU's who I think gets him in the end though.
Yeah Tennessee needs a quarterback next year, Crompton is worse than ainge.
Yeah but did Phillips graduate 4 years ago so that he could have been playing instead of Ainge? Tell me some local recruit better than Ainge at QB?
Crompton worse then Ainge?
Dude are you on drugs? DC is more moblie and has a hell of a arm. That right there makes him 10 times better then ainge......
Did you watch the Arkansas game last year? He ran over one LSU safety last year and everyone acts like hes the next tebow. He has done nothing to impress me.
Gerald Jones could be the next QB. The talk I keep hearing is that the Coleman kid could possibly beat out Crompton.
Crompton wasn't very impressive at all last year unfortunately. If he was better, he would have been starting over Ainge this year.
Quincy was it Coleman or Stephens that had a good summer of practice? I was thinking Stephens but I may be mistaken. Jones could be promising, but as effective as he has been as a WO, I hope we get someone to step up and leave him out there as a receiver.
It was Stephens but everyone says coleman is the next payton. Crompton is a very good qb, he had a pretty good game agaisnt LSU last year. He was a freshman last year when he started his first game. when ainge went down....
Yeah, a redshirt freshman that looked like a 17 yr old freshman. Sadly, he only looked worse the following week against Arkansas.
I think he did pretty well in the LSU game. As for the arkansas game well the hole team sucked ass
Ok here are his stats agaisnt LSU.... Remember freshman ok
11-24 183 yards
2 TDS 1 INT
Qb rating 82.5
I know thats not great numbers but it was his first game and hell LSU was pretty damn good last year....
Still, less than 50% completion percentage with a great group of WRs as his options. Show the overall stats now.
The Pryor thing is a UT/OSU thing and that's the only two. He wants to play in the NFL and he's very close to Cutcliffe and knows that he can get him there. You don't see many qb's playing in the NFL from OSU. I still think he ends up at OSU.
Them are the only stats that matter.... I'm telling you he'll be the QB next year watch and see.
Oh, his lackluster performance against Arkansas didn't matter, or any other spot duty he got didn't matter? Come on.
Well still hes had one decent game and one god awful game, That doesnt make me too confident about next year
WTF??? He hasn't played enough for us to judge him.
Crompton will be just fine next year! All he has to do is distribute the ball. Crompton is a gritty qb, and has 3-years knowledge of the offense. The "G-Gun" package will be used often with Gerald Jones next season, as well as Jones on the receiving end of many Crompton passes. Tell me a glaring weakness of TN offense headed into next season? They lose 2-starters, and add more weapons offensively. QB is the least of their worries.
All Crompton has to do is lead the team and put them in the right sets!
You're right Tennessee offense should be very good next year.
Will crompton be a soph. or junior next year?
Redshirt-Junior
thanks
he didn't even make either 1st or 2nd team according sec.com...wonder if he will be drafted lol
Who are you talking about? And what are you talking about?
the name of eric ainge...the person of who this thread was named.
Neither did Randy Hippeard in his conference but according to stats was the one of the best QB's in NAIA. Accolades don't mean jack anymore, they are way too political.
