The game went 6 innings due to darkness,Begley picked up the win for the Raiders,Will Hamilton hit a 2 run homer in the 4th i believe.Everybody hit the ball pretty well today,plus considering opening day and neither us or the Deacons has practiced outside but one time,i think we commited 4 or 5 E's and S.T.Paul bout the same.Tyler Phillips took the loss for the Deacons.Joe Hunnicutt went 3for4 for the Raiders DHing.The Raiders play thr same Deacon team next thursday at Norton,i believe S.T.Paul plays P.V. tommorow.
Appy beat Erivnton 17-14 or something very close to that score

Sullivan North beat Pound 18-1.
Pound made an error in the 2nd, down 4-0 that should have ended the inning. Instead, 6 more North runs scored with 2 outs and that pretty much ended it. The rest of the game was used to get some inexperienced players some mound time.

where are those games? i'm looking to take in my first game of the year. i was told today at work that kelly and gate city cancelled friday's game. is that true anybody?
according to their website the game with GC on saturday has been cancelled.
Postponed, not cancelled, it will be played May 15.

r13--007's right. The past 2-3 years there's been more than a few Burton baseball fans come on here and claim to have 2-3 kids throwing 90+, and then they promptly get shelled by a team like GC throwing 75 or so...and the hilarity ensues.
