I was looking through my old yearbook and the business ads brought back some memories . Can you oldtimers remember theses and are any still around ?

Im not really an old timer...just 19, but Balls TV and Bobs Market are still there.

Bessie's Diner is now a church.

No longer in existence are:

Buddy's Appliance

Bob's Market is still there.

I used to love the Italian Carryout!!! We'd hit that place hard on snow days when we had hoops practice. One of my buddies mom worked there. They were always super to us annoying teens and the food was awesome.

Mr. Moses was good to the kids...he used to feed the football players on a discount as well..lol. Out of all of those tho, only Ball's and Bob's remain I think.

Was Joe's Market up by Bower's Lumber? Here's a REAL old one that's not there. Carmine's. It used to be right across from where Warren's is. Great chili dogs.

Best pizza in BSG was Dujay's (sp).
Auto World bought that site years ago.

Dujay's was the best pizza I've ever eaten as well. Appy had a good Pizza Inn at one time as well as excellent fast food at the Burger Shack.

I don't know if these are real considerations since they were chains that shut down everywhere and there is still a restaruant there that is very similar. Although I don't think DQ can even dream to compare to a Druther's or Burger Chef burger.

Italian Village I believe it was called up next to Magic Mart also. They had a good pizza as well. When you asked for peppers they actually covered the whole pizza with them.

Hadn't thought about the Italian Village in years, that place was great used to eat there all the time when dad ran the Pic-n-Pay shoe store just down from it.
