Put up some big numbers, probably a first ballot HOF inductee.
no question
i just hope he goes in as a met
He goes as a Dodger IMO.
Dodger definitely.
he played more games as a met
had more HRs and RBIs with the mets and broke the all time catcher HR record as a met
Yeah..but he was at his best and became a superstar as a Dodger.
The Dodgers drafted him, and was his dads favorite team growing up and maybe Piazza'a as well. He will go in with LA on the helmet/hat he wears.
i dont know......im calling it as a met
Isn't he also Tommy Lasorda's godson ? He goes as a Dodger...no brainer in my opinion.
yes he is
im still saying mets hat
I'd say there is a 1% chance you'll be right. Hope never dies tho...
nobody has mentioned steroid use. i think is was rather obvious that he roided up throughout the 90s. roids or not, he was still a top notch player and deserves to be in Cooperstown. (as a Dodger)
IMO riods shouldn't play a part in his or anyone else's chances at Cooperstown.
piazza wasnt on roids
he may have liked a sword fight from time to time.......but i dont think he was juiced up
With the players from that era (position players and pitchers alike) you can never be too sure...but really, who cares? The mid 90's up until around 2005 was an exciting era in baseball.
How quickly we have forgotten there was a baseball strike that killed the 1994 season and almost killed MLB. And how quickly did we all stop loving McGwire and Sosa, whose home run chase brought baseball back to the national spotlight again ... Roids or not.
Exactly...nowdays tho folks just want to purge those that brought baseball back to glory because they may or may not have used steriods...guess they'd rather have another 1994 season.
Exactly. I live for baseball. I remember being in high school and planning on not watching the '95 World Series after the strike, even though the Braves were in it. But my addiction to the sport brought me back. I knew steroids were a problem even then. Question: What's the difference between Major Leaguers using roids and the college kids using those juiced up metal bats? Hmm ....?
espn classic has a piazza tribute at 2pm friday
