Don't look now, here comes a goat
Dont look now, here comes Steve Bartman
It's the Cubs, they will find a way to blow it or something to blame it on when they do.
it's only a matter of time.
I think the Cubs will win the NL Central pretty easily. Saying that one should look closer than the record to see why the Cubs have the best record in baseball at this point. Today, more than ever teams are struggling on the road as pairity has grown throughout the game. The Cubs have played 34 home games, they along with the Rays (34 home games) have played more home games than anybody in the league. It's really no surprise that these two teams have the best records in their respective leagues. The Cubs will win the NL Central but they will come back down to earth when they start going on the road.
Interleague play could loom large at the end of the season. The Cubs got lucky this year as they play Toronto and Tampa Bay. Other teams in the NL Central play Boston and New York. The Cubs "Rival" White Sox aren't what I'd call a dominate force either.
I wouldnt write Tampa Bay off like that, they are playing some of the best ball in the league right now and are in 1st place in the AL East so if the Cubs play them it wont be as easy as you think
