Im surprised LSU is that high. I guess they are getting some respect for what they done last year, which is fine by me. I wouldn't mind them putting the team that won it the previous year in 1st to begin each year anyway. I think LSU will have a tough time though due to their QB situation this season.
i dont see LSU at 6, and i guarantee at least one more SEC team finishes in the top 25.
and UT wont finish higher than Alabama

in all honesty, i see two more SEC teams in the top 25, bama and miss state
I think thats a possibility biggin. But, is Alabama even eligible for rankings? They stay in and out of probation so much I wasn't sure. :P
And possibly S. Carolina if they find some semblance of a secondary....Garcia is back on the team as well.
mckinley is the real deal, if someone can get him the ball they can score.
I wonder how quick Nutt gets Ole Miss turned around and what Petrino can do at Arky. Needless to say, Arky should suck something fierce this year.
I don't like Spurrier...BUT I don't underestimate him either.
I don't know that SC's defense will be any better either after losing Nix to Ole Miss.

i think ole miss is better than Ark this year, but not because of houston nutt, i think he blows
SC had alot of problems last year and were still pretty tough...if they have a halfway decent secondary, they'll upset a big name this year.

I don't think Nutts a bad coach. He took average talent and made it work at Arky every 4 years or so. He may be able to draw a little more at Ole Miss too. Bigger state, more talent, and they might want to play for their state. I don't see them being LSU, but he can make them better faster than Croom did at MSU IMO.
Totally different situation at Ole Miss than what Croom had to clean up and then build up at State.
beast i agree, MSU was really really down when croom took over, and he had a lot of obstacles in his way

Ole Miss isn't in good shape either. Pretty much as bad as MSU when Sherrill left (I believe it was). Ole Miss hasn't been any good since Eli and Cut left. Ogeron was a huge mistake.
Yeah..the LB...When Croom took over MSU, the school was either on or coming off probation if I'm not mistaken. Sherrill destroyed the program and Croom had to deal with that in his recruiting. Nutt doesn't have that problem.
I do applaud MSU for sticking with Croom. The first couple of years were pretty lean, but he has been doing a solid job.
In Sherril's last 3 years MSU was 8-27. In Croom's 1st 3 years they were 9-25. Then they broke out a lil last year. But, Croom inherited nothing and made a decent team out of it.

Georgia will be pretty damn good this year I think
They will be good, but no one steam rolls through the SEC. You will have an off week or two. Its a matter of making it through those games without a loss.

I dont see Georgia losing 7 games, but there is a chance they may lose a game this year. I wouldnt care if UGA won it all, but I would hate to see you blow your wad on here if they did.
UGA loses to either UT, UF, or AU...I think they end the year with one loss unless they just fall apart somewhere along the line. It's hard to gauge where UGA was in January tho...cuz they played Hawaii...who opens up with an a$$ kickin this year.
The Arizona State game will be a tough one I think. I'm not sure why they even scheduled that one with the already tough conference schedule they have.
They are very good, but I don't see them as being anywhere good enough to go through the SEC undefeated. Look at how good LSU was last year, and they got beat by UK...
well just to let you know UGA was playing better ball then anybody else in the nation a long time before hawaii ever came into the picture so i really dont know where you were in december and november and part of october but yeah after florida UGA went ape sh*t on everyone
and trust me burton if UGA goes all the way i will be blowing a wad in every direction...never have been able to pull for a good football team since i have been alive except that one year oakland went to the superbowl and got their ass handed to them
UGA was one of two teams that were playing their best at the end of the year, other being USC
USC/UGA in the Rose Bowl would have been awesome.

I don't exactly consider that going ape sh*t on everyone the only one that even resembles that statement is the Auburn game.
no not really. there is a big differenc in the sec and the pac ten.
and maybe i'm hoping a little bit too..i despise usc.
the GT game wasnt really that close, the score is closer than it was.
but the hawaii game holds no bearing to me, they were overrated and didnt deserve to be there.
