I just screamed at my tv

Over swimming, this Phelps thing has me tuned in. Glad to see us shove on the French after the comments they made before the relay.

Honest to God, the Olympics have to be the best sporting event. It blows everything else away, lord willing I want to attend one someday. You join together as a country and root for your nation. I'd love to see us win the overall medal count. But after watching some of the gymnastics (and I'm no expert, not even a novice) it seems to me were getting screwed by some of these judges.

Ive been watching all weekend. From fencing to shooting.

Did anyone watch the soccer match with the Dutch this morning? The US looked good but blew a win into a draw.

I saw the highlights, we just need a tie to advance correct?

I believe so. But Adu received his second yellow card today, so he is out against Nigeria. He was phenominal with the ball today. They pulled him after the yellow to make sure they didn't go a man down if he got another. Sadly, they got a little over aggressive too late and gave the Dutch a free kick too close.

When do we play?

Nigeria and Tuesday or Wednesday I believe.

I have to admit, I have watched it all, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, diving, basketball, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, cycling, and plan on watching as much as possible. It is funny you have no clue who some of these people are and normally don't even watch stuff like cycling, swimming, gymanstics but when the US of A is involved I am screaming my head off for some dude in tights.........did I just say that [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

I was thinking the same thing watching sync diving, not just the US but everyone in favor of the chinks.

I'm liken the olympics so far

I do have to give the Chinese fans credit. They are loud and into the events.

Same here. If it were the two US divers diving, you knew before hand the Russian judge, the Czech judge, and who ever the other one listed on the left side of the screen was, wasn't going to give those gals anything over a 7.5. Those three would be 7.0, 7.0, and 7.5 then the other 4-5 scores would be 8.0, 8.5, 8.5, 9.0. How do you get that much of a difference?

I've watched fencing, swimming, diving, rowing, cycling, basketball, mens and womens volleyball indoor and outdoor. The topper was that 4x100 relay last night though. There isn't much that makes me miss The Venture Bros. but I couldn't turn it last night. It looked like those French Frog Bastards were sucking lemons on the medal stage. I loved it.

I caught myself clinching my fist as Katie Hoff was making an awesome run in the 400m swim only to come in second at the very last moment.

when does track and field start? is there somewhere I can look to find a schedule of the events?

I am not sure of the schedule but the 100 is Saturday night. I hope I am near a TV during that race.

Remarked to my wife that you could just see the disgust in their faces standing their. Like they would have just as soon finished last as to lose like that to the Americans.
