supr-beast, where the hell was this offensive and defensive line you were talking about for PV. After reading all those post from you about them going to dominate the line I was expecting a tight game but damn, they were no were to be found.
When it was 22-0 and we had a TD called back them turn the ball over and Lusk threw the TD pass to cut it to 22-7, I thought it was then going to be a ball game. The boys were pretty fired up tonight and there was a great crowd.
Yeah and Auburn is gonna win the SEC west too.

Lusk didnt throw that TD...Kenny Burke did.
Wow, then he needs to be your QB.
Burton needs to keep the football off of the ground.
This has been the first game we had that kind of problem, so hopefully it was just one of those game

Ive been saying that all season but it will never happen due to backdoor deals done a couple years ago.

PV's line wasn't the problem..they averaged a lil over 5 yards per rush. PV's problem is sticking to what works. On 3rd and 2, you don't try to throw twice in a row, when you are moving the ball on the ground...and it helps to put a lead blocker in the backfield in short yardage. They tried alot of hairbrained ideas Friday tho. Their D scheme was shiz as well. And, yeah, Burke should have been the QB from day 1. But, 2019, AU isn't out of the SEC west yet. Lots could happen between now and November. LSU-AU is always a dogfight.
I was wondering about that I know when I looked at the box scores (While the 600 rushing for Burton Jumped out) I noticed that PV had well over 200 yards rushing and wondered how Burton was able to keep PV off the board
PV drove the ball decent most of the night but for some odd reason they thought it would smart to throw the ball once they got inside the 30, that didn't work out too well.
IMO, the turning point in the game was when PV was down either 14-0 or 7-0..and were around the JIB 20 with a 3rd and 2. 3rd was an incomplete pass..and on 4th, they tried a boot and the TE was wide open...no one around him..and the QB tried to run and got stopped. JIB scores. PV puts in Burke and gets a TD pass...and is driving again and tries to pass inside the 10 (about the 4)on 3rd down...then the interception on the next pass. Actually PV was intercepted on or near the endzone at least twice. They just have to stick to what they can do...then it snowballed on em.

If ya saw the PV-Clintwood game last year...it was basically a rerun of the offensive performance..guess they didn't learn.

It was like deja vu all over again. Sad thing is, if they just stick to their game plan they win at least one of those games..and they'd be in the other. There's a difference playing Defense down 22-14 at the half vs 28-7 or whatever it was. With PV getting the ball back after the half..they needed to keep hammering on the ground. I still don't know what the staff was thinking.
It was 34-7 at the half.
I said earlier that when we had a Coleman TD called back that would have made the game 28 or 30-0, instead, we turned it over either by fumble or downs and Burke threw the hail mary type bomb for the lone TD that made it 22-7, so that was a 14 point swing that had me a little worried because we could have put them away with the TD. But, fortunately PV couldn't capitalize on anymore drives and it just got out of hand. Would PV had got those 3rd-short or 4th-short plays, maybe/maybe not, but their percentages would have been higher if they stayed on the ground.
By the end of the night I don't think none of the running backs wanted to touch the ball, they were both pretty banged up. What is the status on both. I didn't get to see what exactly the injuries were but I knew both went off the field with some type of injury.
