CW was "kings of all kings" to. Undefeated season.
I'm not sure who was claiming an undefeated season. There was 1 team that can beat Clintwood before about the 14th one and they played them tonight. It's better to be 9-1 than 8-2. More than likely 13-1 or 12-2 than finishing 9-3. As always, all talk and nothing to back it up.

Another win over the sorry ass Raiders to send you home to finish another season crying and blaming someone else. What's that make Clintwood over JIB over the last say 20-25 years? 21-4? You'd think you'd be used it to since you never got a win over them. I never lost to them. Not many Clintwood teams have.

Gate City is not in the LPD so Clintwood is still undefeated in the district. Celebrate now because the Green Wave and Blue Devils are coming!
It almost takes my breath away just thinking that we still have the GC--Burton and Clintwood--Burton games to look forward to. There's still a lot of action to be had, and the fact that we'll probably end up seeing Clintwood--Burton more than once makes it that much more interesting.
I think Burton has a good chance in both of those games, but they'll have to come and play very hard to take down either of those teams. Gate City was massively improved from the Richlands game based on what I saw tonight and there's no doubt that Clintwood will be a tough opponent for the Raiders as well, as they showed just how dangerous they can be tonight even with a sloppy performance.

No excuses. They got beat by a better team.
What other posts? No one is making any excuses for why we lost unlike some burton fans that i know. We lost to a better team tonight. I would guarantee that Gate city beat burton by a good 14 points

Congratulating the opponent and admitting they were better is confusing to the Skywalkers and Raider4Life's of the world. They think it's making excuses. Crying because you play like crap for a game then get a horrible call that you claim decided the game, or crying because of injuries, is all good sportsmanship and showing class.

That injuries made a huge difference. When in fact clintwood had just as many key guys hurt as burton did

Did you mean this to be a joke? The same excuses were being thrown on here 2 weeks ago.
Someone please find some of the posts! There was some on here when Norton beat PV this year on how their team was so beat up and injured last year when Clintwood and Gate City beat them.

Hell if i know who all was out for norton. Go back and look at the posts and see who all u guys were crying about that was out and would have made a big difference. Clintwood shut down the jet sweep last year in the playoff game it didnt matter who u had running the ball.

If your line is 5 yards deep and make tackles on the jet sweep, than their damn good. If size is better than speed on the jet sweep than Lou, what else do we do?

The biggest thing I dreaded if we lost to Gate City would be that the classy norton people would start their usual crap. We will see who is "overrated" in two weeks.

I was going go keep quite on this thread, but since you are talking how great the raiders are being "unbeaten" and "power points" a couple of weeks ago i posted the non-district schedule for both CW and Burton. To this point in the season who exactly has burton played this year that has any legit chance of making the playoffs? PV maybe and from a thread i read earlier they have to have a miracle to make it in. In conclusion, Burtons only real contest of the year come at the end of the season when they play CW then GC back to back weeks. Burton will not see a team physical like this till they play CW.

And same for you skywalker if CW is overrated i could say the same about Burton they have played no one this season IMO strength of schedule means alot just like it does in college.

again, I have to ask this year, don't class every person from Norton in one big lot.
Amen!!! Taking nothing away from Clintwood but had we been well and had Coleman last year the playoffs would have been different. Also, Godsey was hurt last year. I would not want to see him coming at me, he is huge!!!
