Actually, They were down 7-0 bottom of the seventh where they scored four runs. Three in the eighth, and one on the ninth.
Still impressive though.
Go Sox!
my bad got a little ahead of myself haha
They'll be home soon enough anyway with my Yanks.
remind me how much the yanks pay roll is and i dont think they even made it to play in october .
Its the best time of the year for sports. College football in full swing, high school playoff berths are being settled, college basketball starting to practice, NFL getting interesting, but most of all, THANK GOD, baseball is almost OVER!
I told my wife last night that if the Sox came back to win that game, the Rays were done! Let's see if that happens. It has to be demoralizing to a team to have a 7-0 lead in a clinching game and blow it. I know the Rays go home for games 6 and 7, but 25% of those fans will still be Sox fans.
The Rays have their work cut out for them now, facing Beckett and Lester. Beckett hasn't been great and the Rays got to Lester in the last start, but I'd take my chances with those two if I were a Sox fan.
If they pull it out of their ass agin this year then Im really really gon start hating the Sox just about as much as I hate UT, the Patriots, Duke and Jeff Gordon.
Well I am a Sox fan, so I'm not disappointed they won, but wouldn't have expected it. I don't think Beckett is healthy, expect more to come out of that after the season but hopefully he can find himself. The Rays have been playing with house money, they are where they aren't expected to be, so unless they get disheartened, they should still win this, but pressure may get to them, but I doubt it.
It won't break my heart if the Sox don't win though, Rays have never won and how long has it been since Philly won?
1980 I believe.

Took a break this year, cant win em all.
Seems as though they've took a break the last few years
They could not play the next 10 seasons and still no one be close to their 26 titles and 39 pennants.
I could be way off base, but I think the Rays are in trouble.
Looks like the pressure is on the ray's. Sox force game 7.
Ray's have responded all year though.
I have a hard time thinking the Sox will manage the win, but at least they are battling, which I didn't think they were going to do. It seemed like they were just going through the motions.
I'm afraid Lester has thrown too many innings this year and is to the point of fatigue, and might have his second bad start in a row.
I wonder how many Rays fans just messed their pants with that error on Bartlett?
Lester didn't pitch great, but he kept them in the game.
Offense is dead though.
Read today that its thought that Dodgers may try to trade Russel Martin. As much as I like Tek for what he's been, he's a part-time player now.
Lester was good, Garza was better.
wheeler needs to get outta this jam here
who pitches the 9th for tampa??
Not sure.
if crisp has a better slide the bases are loaded wit one out
david price, their #1 pick from last yaer, has nasty stuff.
he should pitch more
You win some, you lose some. As long as Manny is sitting at home also, I'm content.
david price gets the save
great game, tampa jus flat out outplayed boston
Thank you God.
Sucks as a Sox fan, but I gotta give the Rays their props.
I'll be rooting for them in the Series.
also, david price is sick.
I'm lovin it!!!
As a Sox fan, I thought the magic may help them, but with 'Tek becoming near useless on the offensive side, with Ortiz hurt, with Lowell out, no Manny, its a different team.
They battled which going into what, the 7th the other night, I didn't think they was going to do. I don't mind losing if you at least battle.
It doesn't bother me at all that Tampa Bay gets there, I like how they have built their team, and they have never won. It's been a long time since the city of Philadelphia has won anything, so I'm not hurt with either winning. The only thing that bothers me is how lousy the Tampa fans have been all year on supporting a pretty exciting team.
I won't be glued to the TV watching the games, but its good that someone new is gonna win.
I liked how poised Price was. He's gonna be the real deal IMO.
He struck out someone, he didn't act like it was anything new, like he had been there before.
A Monday seems like a brighter day knowing the Red Sox aren't going to pollute the World Series again.
All is right in my sports world at least this week. Tennessee won, VT and the Red Sox lost. Better than it has been.
