I gotta say this as well: I gave an honest assessment last year when I said JJK would be 5-5,6-4,and was right. I told folks on here this year that the TRIBE would do no worse than 7-3,with 8-2 at best. I pegged losses to JIB and Clintwood,and had Haysi as a tossup. JJK is 7-2,and I am right on it [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img]

This has been a great season for the Indians one of the best in recent memory.

It will keep getting better.

Don't count our chickens before they hatch. We still have to get past Haysi, and more than likely a pretty ticked off PV team before we get to see GC. I believe that the boys can beat Haysi and PV, but they have to bring it, nobody can do it for them. As for GC, we'll just wait and see. Hopefully at worst, GC will know that they played against a good team with a lot of heart that didn't give any point up easily.

IMO, KY Jelly has had their once a decade win vs. PV..it won't happen again til 2017 or 2018.

I guess kelly deserves to brag a little bit, they are sitting at 7-2 right now, but I just don't think they will be Gate City, unless Gate City falls off the face of the earth and doesn't show. No need to brag about beating Appy, hell, everyone but St. Paul has beaten them this year. Not much to brag about there.

Most everyone has beaten PV as well..

Let the Kelly boys enjoy their season. They have worked hard for it. It doesn't matter if any team was down, our team was good this year. They got outplayed by a super good Clintwood team and Norton too. 7-2 is 7-2. Both losses coming to LPD teams, come on people. Lighten up! Go Tribe.

Here's the thing: I keep hearing foks [censored] about how weak the region is,but the fact of the matter is that teams on the JJK schedule like Twin Springs=FIVE more wins so far this year than last,Pound has three wins as opposed to one last year. Coeburn is going to surpass their win total as well. Even with the dropoff in wins at PV (a team that was fortunate to win at JJK last year) and Appy,the region is,at very worst the same as last year.

Kelly, of all teams in the LPD, should know how it feels to be the "brunt" of so many statements like what was just posted. Every dog has it's day is all I'm gonna say about that comment. Again, a totally classless post on your part sports_photos.

Yeah, we do know all about it. Hopefully Appy will be able to bounce back and get their program battling for titles again. As many problems as I have had with some Appy fans this year, I have to say out of everything that I saw last night, the band impressed the crap out of me. It wasn't just me either, there were many people talking about how good they were and how much fun they were having. A lot of it was old school, and I was very glad to see it again. I know that it is a small step, but I hope that the folks in Appy can use their band as a building block in helping their school move forward and have successful programs again.

You know, I was desperately trying to stay away from that topic to keep people from getting riled and turning this into another consolidation thread. Personally I hope Appy high, and all the rest are still going strong 100 years from now.

The truth hurts. Maybe if the pups want to score more Td's they can start scheduling against jv teams. Until then they really have nothing to be proud of.
