Some people have been saying Jon Gruden has bought a house in Knoxville recently and others are saying Bill Cowher, I don't see either happening.

I can see Lane Kiffin, Butch Davis, or Will Muschamp getting some consideration, or maybe they do what should have already done and give the job to Cutcliffe.

I don't think Cutcliffe takes the job just for the simple fact he signed a pretty big contract with Duke just a year ago!

Jon Gruden, Lane or Butch would all be a up grade!!!

Lane Kiffin doesn't need to be in Knoxville. Cowher "supposedly" expressed interest lately. Gruden owns a lakehouse outside Knoxville. His wife is from Jefferson County, and they both love the area. If nothing else that's probably just a "getaway" more than anything else. Tennessee has the money, it's just a matter of finding the right guy. After picking up Pearl, I have no doubt we'll get the right man for the job. I'm excited for the future, but a part of me is sad also. Fulmer did alot for the university, and he needs to be commended and honored.

No successful Pro coach outside of Bill Walsh is gonna take a college HC job...and Walsh isn't with us anymore.. I hope they hire Mike Shula..lol

Nope the report has changed now. Peyton will be quitting the NFL after his lackluster year this year. He will be coming back to orange

Just think about it. UT is getting rid of Fulmer, maybe VT can now get rid of Beamer. I might would pull for them if the did that.

It is a good thing but a sad thing also. Fulmer loves the program and school and would do all he could do to win. He brought us a Title and a Manning. Poor QB's will always not be good enough is some eyes because of Manning. But on the flip side the Vols have lost something. I bet he goes somewhere and turns a program around.

I hope he doesn't Coach again and gets a front office job at the University. Make a position for him, Asst AD or Asst Asst AD, he has been good for the program but we need a fresh face and start.
