For all the bad-mouthing you do about this site going down (both on here and on other boards), you seem to forget that we still get more traffic and that it would be seen more widely here. Instead of withholding info that people are asking for that you've got and trying to steer them to another site--why not just post them?
Agreed. It's not a good way to do business. I registered for the guy who's doing the BDD board because he did things the right way. I can't see myself or anyone else really giving this guy much of a chance.

oh, so now people can't express their displeasure for this site being down all the time, which is at least 2-3 times a day? I thought this was a message board in which opinions were freely welcomed.
I dont think he was just talking about him complaining, but more advertising while he does it. "Hey, this forum sucks so why dont you come visit mine. It doesnt crash at all and its way cooler". And the "I know something you want to know, but am going to post it on my forum so you'll have to visit it". Thats pretty lame, he steals ideas from here and posts them on there..but wont post some info people would like to know and asking for on here? Its a long shot to be as popular and successful as this forum, but when you do things like that it turns more people off.

You've been on this board for a long time, you know me (at least thru my posts)--I don't like this board going down as often as it does just as much as anyone else...but, I keep in mind that Rock does have a plan to try to get the board moved to another server once football season's over--so it should at the worst become a much less frequent problem--if not a terminated problem altogether.
It's pretty dang low for someone to ignore that and try to use this board's server problems (not our fault, Hostboard's) to down it and trash it for the SOLE purpose of trying to draw people to his own board. It's despicable.
This place might go down as often as a cheap whore but I'll keep coming back because it's the best local sports forum available.

All I know is that I find a couple of things awful funny:
1) that this cat's been on the board--even started topics since I posted what I did, bound to have seen this, and hasn't had enough gumption to put in his two cents--which to me speaks volumes and should to the rest of you as well.
and...
2) that out of the 47 threads started on that board so far, 40 of them have been started by him. Sounds like desperation and/or a cry for attention to me.
Let me go on record as saying his idea is a great idea. I don't mind having BDD, CMD, or CD boards existing as well as this one--I don't even mind a Region D one...if your board can survive and have members on it w/lots of discussion about area sports--so be it, and that's a great thing. But it is deplorable and under-handed when he's asking posters via PM on here to drive people to his site and away from this one, putting fliers on cars at UVAW, and planning mass e-mails to spam UVAW students/faculty regarding these boards w/o anyone's permission...all the while wanting to remain anonymous.
Awful big of him.
