GaTech looks good
24-3, Halftime.
Interceptions and playing out of position are both killing us.
I will say this--the Canes were down 24-3 at the half against FSU and came back to lose by 2, 41-39. They came close that game, and they've been a 2nd half team all year long. Game was very much the same as this one--couldn't stop the run, arm-tackling, and were terrible on offense.
Hopefully they'll make some adjustments on both sides of the ball and make a comeback, but comeback to win this time instead of falling short. No way I'm turning the game off no matter how bad it gets though--I still believe in this bunch. Losing @GT doesn't put them out of it, they can still clinch with a W at NCSU next weekend if UNC loses this weekend or next...they hold tiebreakers over just about every team with a shot at winning the Coastal (except UNC) if they just win out. My fingers are crossed.
The option is a thing of beauty when run correctly.
The Canes look like Crap. I think they thought they were better than they are. Maybe they grow from this?!
the canes dont seem yo be able to understand that GT will give the ball to the FB my god just look at those splits on their Dline
shoot patrick nix
that option has been ran perfectly tonight
Wow what a beat down!

Is he teaching them to tackle now too?
The option is sweet, like someone said earlier. And GT is in high gear! If they didn't look so good running the option, I would be mad.
464 yards on the ground!!!!
464
are you [censored] kidding me?
Miami sucks i wish they could have lost by more
if miami sucks whats virginia techs problem?
Scenario for Miami to go to Tampa:
Miami has to beat NC State next weekend.
UNC has to lose to either NC State or Duke in their two remaining games.
UVA has to win out.
That means a 3-way tie atop the Coastal between Miami/GT/UVA, and we win that tiebreaker scenario I believe.
I hate having to rehash scenarios and root for other teams to win/lose in addition to Miami having to win. They controlled their own destiny and let it slip last night. Terrible.

At least Miami beat VT.
And at least both GT and Miami have some National Titles in their trophy cases.
Dumb argument to get into Milky. You can't win it.

So...looking at this fairly--you guys beat a team still learning the Triple Option on the job with a limited playbook at your place by a FG early in the season, and that's somehow better than Miami going in with a young D-Line against a team that's finally getting that Triple Option to click at their place on their Senior Night.

The the queen of calling people out over stupid stuff but nobody complains about it so why are you
NOBAMA land looks better ever day haha
I was sort of expecting that to happen last night. All year, there have been games where Miami looked great tackling and then the next week, they couldnt tackle anything. After Florida, they didnt tackle well at Texas A&M then they were bad against UNC and FSU. They didnt tackle that well against Duke or Wake but got it together against UVA and VT, then it reared its ugly head again last night. Not having Randy Phillips this season has hurt them alot simply because he makes tackles while Reddick does not. Same ol stuff at linebacker though. Spence is the only one that knows how to tackle. Davis and Cook are still worthless. If they tackle well, they probably still give up 200 on the ground but thats probably about 200 total offense because GT doesnt put it in the air much.I think the biggest blunder of the game was putting Marve back in. It killed all momentum.

Come the eff off of it, both of you.
Here's my rant for the day--nothing to do with Miami football so I am breaking script here:
Some people on here lately have wanted it both ways. They want the mods/admins to take action against a poster or posters because they don't like that person's views on here--some call for their banning. When that action's not taken, they complain, then they decide to be offensive and petty towards said posters they don't like--and go over the line over and over again--and then complain about a mod/admin calling their hand on it when it goes to far and gets WAY too old.
In my opinion, I think some posters on here need to stop and think about what they post before they post it, instead of trying to incite arguments with petty responses when they could be actually discussing the subject instead.
A good question to stop and ask yourself before hitting that reply button is whether or not you're furthering the conversation in the thread, or if instead, you're just trying to incite an argument just for meanness or being stupid. If it's the latter instead of the former--that's what the mod/admin's are here for--to stop and/or curtail that type of ridiculousness. Keep that in mind.
/rant.

Sorry to break everybody's heart but VT controls their own destiny. If VT wins out it will be a 4 way tie at the top
(VT, Miami, GT and UNC). The tiebreaker would then go to VT because they have only one loss in the costal division while the other 3 have at least 2.
sorry to break everybody's heart, but the teams in this conference are just playing to be the best turd in a pile of crap.
Not breaking any hearts man--all I did was break down the scenario needed for Miami to get in. VT does, indeed, control their own destiny--thusly why in my scenario I said that UVA needs to win-out.

hahaha you got to give them credit tho the ACC has more teams at or above .500 that alot of conferences
I dont think the ACC is that bad. Its not a pretty conference at all but they have had a tremendous out of conference record this year and even in the most exteme cases have faired pretty well. Even Miami against possibly the best team in the nation was able to do alot better than what most SEC teams have against UF. Its the opposite of the Big 12 where noone can stop anyone but can put up a ton of points. The Big 12 is the new Pac 10 this year and those teams are getting a pass but Im not really sure they are that great. Anyway, lets stick to the topic here like CoeburnCane asked for otherwise this thread is going to be out of control.
This is the Miami/GT thread in case anyone forgot.

Exactly VT is in better position than any of the others to make it to the ACC/CG.

Exactly great point
Unless GT makes it out of the Coastal the winner of the Atlantic Division will be ACC Champs.
take away a stupid fumble by GT @FSU, GT wins that division
GT is th best team in that division
Sorry to break your heart but the Big 12 has been the best conference in the land this year. Their games have been much better to watch than the QB weak SEC (with the exception of Tebow).
As for the Canes? Typical for a young team to wither once hit with some prosperity. I expected GT to win-not is such embarrassing fashion, but win regardless.
