The team with the most wins in the district.
Yeah, a little too early to tell.
I will go ahead and post the first completely biased post that has no merit... PV will win it hands down no contest
I'm betting on Pound. I think Principal Short will come out and take over as head coach, retain Ronnie as OC, and the BOS will decree it done. Just to encourage the poundians to concede to consolidation! lol
Pv will prob be the favorite next yr with cwood and norton next
JIB.
shocker there raider b chillin
imma say appy by a landslide
Mark it down....6 way tie.
Well we know one thing:
As of now all LPD teams have the same record for next year. But right now, let us worry about who is still left in the post season; Clintwood. Bring the gold back.
I say JIB, Kelly and PV .
#1. Well PV returns the most from a team that was not as bad as many would have you think (One of there wins was against the Region IV Div 3 Champs and all there losses were to Playoff teams)
#2/3/4. Clintwood will be in rebuild mode next season however they were solid at the backup positions and while many of the kids that will be looked to to step up to the plate saw a ton of mop up duty many have also seen regular time due to injurys or to give the starters a blow while the game has been on the line
#2/3/4. Burton Will also be in rebuild mode but a team with Miles will be in any game that they play the big question will be wheather thay make him the feture back or continue to use the doubble wing
#2/3/4. Wise Another team in rebuild mode B.I. had the team he had been building for this season now EVERYONE has been in his system since day 1 and I THINK that Kelly football will see a numbers boost from there playoff run this season
#5 Appy probably returns more starters than any other team in the LPD if not SWVA and I look for them to me a Much improved team but next years seniors were in 8th grade the last year that Turner coached and I am not sure that they can rise out of the ashes the wat the Appys team used to be able to do
#6 Pound They return most of there starters as well but they were kicked around by Clintwoods 2nd and 3rd team this season even if they improve I just don't see them being able to beat anyone in the LPD
with all the injuries we had on the o line and having to play freshman next year we will have 4 staters back mullins hartsock sergant and coffey the big question mark will be qb i would say ethan stewarts brother evan will step in and the defense loses a couple of outstanding players but i still see norton going 6-4 7-3 next season depends on who we play non district i would say it will be norton and clintwood again fighting it out in division 1 along with haysi simply because theirs nobody else in that division that will be any good.

Haysi SHOULD be good again next season they lost Yates and Owens but have there QB most of there WRs and most of there Line back
Are you sure that Fleming is back at QB?
yes hes a junior.
I think he is just a junior this year myself.
10-4.
Greencrest, what will you and Counts do if there is no football in heaven??
I would rather not think about it!
Maybe if there is, Burrhead can finally run tailback some like he always dreamed about. You know, anything is possible in heaven.

St. Paul is not LPD. They are Cumberland.
It's too close to call
Because this is a football thread.
twice actually if you count the 6 way tie... haha
Is it just me, or is Kelly improving every year? PV wins the LPD next year.
I think Kelly will be better than most are thinking they will be
All I know is come the final weekend of the season I want to see PV/Appy undefeated in the LPD playing for the title. That needs to happen one more time.

That would be great i just hope for the fans sake it's at PV instead of appy for the fans sake. I hate going to appy and park in a coal camp 5 miles away from the field
If PV/Appy are playing a big game I prefer it to be played in Appy. It's more fun imo, the team goes through Norton stops in the middle of the road gets off the bus and hears every word in the book from the Appy Faithful. Now thats high school football.
Kelly wins the LPD outright with a 5-0 district record.

It wouldn't turn out like you hope it would. The reason for that is Appy just won't play PV like they should any more. Especially if they're playoff bound and a win against PV won't improve their seeding. They don't care about it any more. I sat down there in Appy in 2006 and watched them run series of plays on offense that were the same play 3 times in a row then punting. The same play 3 times in a row. On several occasions. I even thought being 1-8 and having nothing to lose they'd go in there and play to win last season. Guess not. It would have to matter in some shape form or fashion or they won't play it. I dare say that even the district trophy wouldn't matter to Austin and his cronies. Don't get me wrong, being from PV and rooting for the Dawgs for 4 years makes me want to see it too. But I'm not holding my breath.
Guys think logically, Kelly lost most of their skill positions this year. It is going to be another rebuilding year and a possibility to make some noise with an upset or two but thats all.
You cannot lose as many as we are losing and not be rebuilding. The good news is that there are some good football players coming up,and this year's squad should have better wheels. The backs will be fine with Lucas Kerns and Kenny Lester, but we have to replace Dotson at QB and hope the line gets good quick.
That is priceless, Ironlung. Very funny.
i like pvs chances
