I don't know about that, I was thinking more that this may be the first time the ACC loses.
well unc and duke should both win....
VT winning last night would have been the best chance at the ACC getting a game up on the B10 and edging out a 5-4 win. But for some reason the decided to not press on the last possesion and let Wisconsin come right down the floor and take a barely contested shot from the free throw line.
ACC needs Maryland to win against Michigan and UVA to come through. Stop and think about that, it's going to be hard.
UVa will beat Minnesota
barely contested shot?? he was spun halfway around and had Malcolm Delaney in his face...VT pressed on the last second shot against Xavier and got burnt from half court...there's not much you can do about games like that
#10 is the one that supposedly spun him around when in actuallity he barely even touched him as he dove behind him trying to avoid fouling on the reach around and then Delany stood on the last C while he took the shot from the second C on the ACC at the line.
I guess I forgot that the half court contested shot is a higher percentage shot than the 12' stand beside and watch.

Well it looked like on the highlights the defender stood still hands straight up to try and make sure he didn't cause a foul. Looked like that was the instruction from someone stepping off the bench onto the floor as well. It wasn't truly contested, but someone was there.
you play the video like i wasn't there...coach greenberg tells them to pick up in the 3/4 court and absolutely do not foul...Thorns got bumped and Davila was supposed to step up and hedge any screen, Delaney was there and contested the shot, he just made a tough shot
good ole greenburg coaching
good ole' 2-time ACC Coach of the Year coaching
wow...good job, when did you all last make a run in the tourney?
you're gonna knock a guy for his coaching abilities when he's been coach of the year twice in the nation's toughest conference??
he hasn't had the players to make a run in the tourney, but he has taken them to the postseason in 2 straight years, something that hasn't happened since 1996...and it looks to be 3 straight years this year
if the guy were getting mcdonald's all-americans and not producing i could see your point, but he takes 3-star kids and finishes in the top 4 of the ACC
when VT swept UNC, your own coach stated he was outcoached by greenberg...so the argument that it was "good ol greenberg coaching" that did them in only shows you dont have a clue what you're talking about
thanks mr acc
Yep good ole 88-70 <> 301-240
As soon as Greeny can get anywhere close to this or even aspire to this let me know:
Three national championships (1991, 1992, 2001)
12 National Coach of the Year honors (eight seasons)
Seven National Players of the Year (nine honors)
Six National Defensive Players of the Year (nine honors)
24 NCAA Tournament bids
20 All-America selections (34 honors)
10 Final Four appearances (third all-time)
11 ACC regular season championships
10 ACC Tournament championships
730 total victories (285 ACC wins)
410 weeks ranked among the nation's top 25 teams
348 weeks ranked among the nation's top 10 teams
92 weeks ranked No. 1 in the country
69 NCAA Tournament victories (first all-time)
39 NBA Draft selections, including 20 in the first round
14 NBA Lottery picks
ummm...i wasn't saying he was better than Roy Williams, if you'd read i said Roy Williams himself said he was outcoached
Tubby Smith won a national title and made some deep runs into the tourney with UK, and he's garbage...but he had some good players
I can't wait for this game!!!
Purdue is a very good team but I hope the depth of Duke gets to them.
Lets go DUKIES!!!
and yes, i know that is Coach K's stats
Tubby didn't do chit after Pitino's players were gone and he was using his own. Dam how bad a coach/recruiter can you be if you can't get players to come to UK.

it'd be kinda hard to get a 5-4 win with 11 games
but it's 2-2 right now with Duke up and UVa down...but with guaranteed wins from Wake and FSU tomorrow, and probable wins from UNC and Georgia Tech, I'd say ACC wins 7-4
Duke wins by 16 baby...
kyle singler was a beast tonight.
His chin is bigger than Venus and Serena's asses put together.

My bad I got confused on the number of games. I was thinking of DUKE's 9 wins and still the only undefeated team in the challenge. I'm still trying to figure out the 3/4 defense that only takes place in the last 1/4 of the court. How exactly does that one work letting a guy get all the way to the top of the key before anyone gets near him.
