Stupidest place to play an ACC game ever. They need to play it in North Carolina
Why don't they play it in Charlotte?
I agree, a central location would help. I guess they thought it would always have Miami or FSU in it.

Yeah, that was what the ACC has been betting on. Bad Bet.
The ACC was also betting on adding those teams and becoming a solid football conference. Another bad bet.
TD Va Tech ! 14-0

6-4 vs the SEC and 4-0 vs the Big 12 this season with some of the youngest teams in college FB. Not too bad.
What was it, 2 wins against teams in the top half of either conference?

Might be an SEC coach but the players are the ones that play the game and they are ACC

With the looks of the crowd, they need to play at Legion Field. No not in Alabama, Gate City. Id say the crowd will be the same for the Orange Bowl, Sorry BC/VT vs Cincinnati, not too attractive.

What bowl did Tenn get in ? o wait that's right they got beat by Wyoming.Sorry i forgot
VT can bash Tenn and the ACC can bash the SEC, the bottom line is that there were at least 40,000 more people at the TN-KY game that at the ACC Championship. And, the SEC will have a team playing in the NC game. SECCG #1 vs #4. ACCCG #17 vs. #25, puhleeeeeeeez. The Orange Bowl will be the least attractive of all the BCS Bowls whether you want to admit it or not. Why arent you Hokies at the ACCCG? Not like you couldnt get a ticket. I've been to watch Tenn 3 times in the SECCG, why cant these big Hokie fans fill up their conference championship game?

Because it's nowhere near 90% of the schools can you not read or do you just ignore facts ?

It's a little easier to get to Atlanta from here compared to Tampa. If the game was in a sensible location say Charlotte I'd bet there would be thousands more and possibly me too. You going to watch UT in their Bowl game?

No way, if Tenn was in a bowl I wouldnt go. Wouldnt want to miss VT/Cincy Orange Bowl. When VT puts 107,000 in Lane Stadium, wins 6 national champioships, let me know.

Actually a VT/Cincy game may be pretty good. And VT will never put 107,000 in Lane. But they do fill what they have and don't have to worry about the fans booing and leaving during the 2nd quarter. And like I've said before, I'd love to have a National Title, but until they have a playoff system there will never be a true champion. Just those mythical titles.

And it's going to be one heck of a game with possibly the top 2 teams in the country.
Vt's rb Evans is going to be a big deal in the coming years. Mark my words

Yeah the UK/UT game had a lot more. Lexington and Knoxville are not all that far apart. Just about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

i'll be sure to let you know when VT fits 107,000 into a 67,000 stadium...that'll be a feat
but in the meantime, let me know when UT actually plays in a bowl game
Virginia Tech fans putting down Tennessee's program. Hilarious. Tennessee was winning championships when Tech was still known as the VPI Gobblers. They'll be back, and Tech still won't have a title. You want to blame the distance on attendance, and I guarantee you if the SEC played their championship game in California it would still be packed.
i'm not sure anyone is blaming the distance on attendance...maybe the other way around though
and I'm pretty sure anyone who is Wyoming or better can put down UT's program these days
These days? It was the game after they lost their coach. You have this vast knowledge of college athletics. You should know what kind of impact that would have on any team.
If there are a few things I have learned from this forum over the past couple of years it is this......
1. vthokie22 is ALWAYS right.
2. Tech has always been better than UT, you know it and I know it. No matter how bad VT "used" to be, it doesn't matter, they don't count those years. They still have a short memory of that ass whipping at the Gator Bowl a few years ago when the two actually settled it on the field.
3. Norton fans are the worst around, according to everyone on here.
Those are a few tidbits I have gathered in my couple of years posting on this forum.
For the love of GOD, Virginia Tech wasn't even relevent before the 1990's. Granted they have had a good run over the past 15 years, HOWEVER, when have they actually won a meaningful game (BCS game, National Title, etc) EXACTLY. I wouldn't exactly get too fired up, 3 losses in this years ACC is horrible.
you forgot...
4. it doesn't matter if you're irrelevant now and have had two losing seasons in the past 4 years, all that matters is you won a title against a third string quarterback over a decade ago...and won some games in 1836...everyone knows that's all that matters in the here and now
LOL, like I said.
Tennessee was also without Jamal Lewis. Tennessee was also an underdog in that game, regardless of the QB. The same team (minus the QB) that beat Tech the following season. Doesn't matter if they were playing 11 grandmothers, they won it.
Didn't Va Tech play that same FSU team maybe the next year or so in the Title game. What exactly happened, oh, they lost didn't they. Just like every other big game they have ever played in.
CHOKE
The official softdrink of the Hokies.
yeah, we weren't fortunate enough to play against the JV team's 8th string QB, we had to go against a Heisman candidate in Chris Weinke
Got anything else, that is not good.
A little more info for you.
Va Tech is 7-14 all time in bowls, 0-3 in the BCS
UT is 25-22 all time in bowls, 1-1 in the BCS (that 1 was a title )
VT doesn't even have a winning record in bowl games.
speaking of bowl games...
Speaking of another BCS Loss.........
Who gives a rat's ass? Really. I obviously hope Tech wins as a fan of them.
This has to be the dumbest argument ever. From both sides.
