In reality, I believe both #1 seeds fall this weekend. Tough luck for anybody who would end up having to travel to Pitt or Charlotte.
All that being said, if you want one reason why the NFL is so popular just look at the matchups this week, and even next week. Not a single time slot that won't have a game that matters.
comments, analysis, etc welcome......
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I think its looking like the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Giants in the Super Bowl....and the Steelers winning.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I dont know about the Giants there at this time. They are having a hard time this past 3 weeks or so. I would think the Panthers would be the pick at this moment from the NFC, with the Cowboys a second choice if they make the playoffs.

Re: Playoff Picture number three
I think that tie to the Bungles is going to comeback to haunt Philly. One loss and their out.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
Yep. I honestly look for the Redskins to come out and beat the Eagles this weekend. Hopefully, the will rally around "the worst coach in America" and come out and beat the Eagles. I also don't trust Reid to keep running the football like he has been. Get the Eagles behind early, and they'll start throwin it fifty times a game again.
I look for the Conference Finals or whatever they are called to look like this...Dallas @ Carolina, Colts @ Steelers.
Dallas vs. Colts in the Big game.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I'll be at the game, bet the farm on Philly.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
Didn't you say that you have never been to a game the Skins won?
Re: Playoff Picture number three
None of my teams ever win when I go, Maryland's lost like 5 or 6 in a row. I went last week and they lost to Cincy so you do the math. haha
Re: Playoff Picture number three
That's tough man. Of course going to Reds games, you kinda have to expect that lol. I've been to three Cowboys games now, all wins.
If it makes you feel any better, I'll be pulling for you guys this week.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
Reds are probably around .500 when I go. Maryland and the Redskins is pitiful, I'd have to go back and look but I'm not sure if I've seen Maryland win a game since I went to the ACC Tournament in 2004. I know they were 0-3 in games I attended last year.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I feel sorry for whoever makes the trips with you then. I know how I get during games. Somehow when I went to Dallas I ended up right in the middle Colts fans, and I thought every one of them was going to fight me.
But hey, next year me and you should go watch both of the Skins/Boys games. I could use another sweep of you guys, and with your streak and my streak I think we might be able to do that
Re: Playoff Picture number three
Maryland is 0-6 in the last six games that I have attended, geez I didn't realize it was that bad.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
At least your still faithful enough to go up there. It would be much easier to pull for someone like oh, Duke, UNC or another bandwagon team like that...
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I've never been to a game at Maryland. I normally go to the games in Virginia and the ACC Tournament.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I got a hook up for ya. Know a guy that goes there, and know another one who graduated from there. I could score you some of those tickets easily if you are interested.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
It's just so far up there. I'd like to stay up there and go to the American game on the 22nd but can't afford it.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
I may have to take you up on that sometime though, I'd like to see an ACC game up there sometime.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
Just give me good notice so they have enough time to get you some good seats and whatnot. I'm sure they won't care a bit though. They are always griping about how dumb ACC fans are following Duke and UNC, so you would fit in with them very well I would think.

Just a random thought sorta. The guy that ran the high school I went to used to get tickets, one row behind the box seats at Riverfront, right at 3rd for the jr class trip, every year. 2 ball games and Kings Island was pretty good , back then. We sold a lot of candy and washed a lot of cars to get the cash to charter a bus and pay for rooms, but it was a good trip.
Re: Playoff Picture number three
Sounds like fun. Here was my last trip to hell...er Cincy.

Re: Playoff Picture number three
I know Tennessee let a close one go against the Texans but I wouldn't count them out. This game against the Steelers is going to be huge!
