Congrats to Jeremy Mullins who got the first win in Pound wrestling by pinning his kid from Holston in 6 secs. Thats right 6 secs..Jeremy is also just a freshman

did anybody else win ???

garret sturgill won by forfeit, jordan balthis pinned a kid from holston and jerry short pinned daniel dean from kelly

it was an official match, kinda. the weigh ins were satellite weigh ins. nobody had to really make weight

To be official everyone has to make weight.

youre right but most all of the varsity kids were at their weight or close to it but that shouldnt take away from how well those boys did tonight

I am tickled to death to see Pound field a squad. The more the merrier no doubt. Congrats to the kids who won. The young man who made history will be able to tell his grandkids that he won the first ever wrestling match for the 'Cats-good stuff.

looks like kelly did pretty well. I had heard CW was suppose to be tough this yr.

castlewood is ok. they got a few good wrestlers like ryan phillips. Won state at 171 as a sophomore and 4th at 215 last year. could win at 189 this year but kelly's harrison will def. give him a good match

Castlewood more times than not are the cream of the crop in the LPD and region.

They arent in the LPD now. With Coeburn moving over to the Cumblerland that gave the CD enough teams to field a district.

Just another sport for Pound to lose at.

if you dont have anything good to say about a team that just started a program the you shouldnt post on this..this isnt a post to knock pound its a post to congratulate the kids on a good job

yeah they were satellite weigh ins. jerry has quite a ways to go but he can reach it by districts probably. Dean only has a little bit to lose, but i think they'll give each other good competition later on in the year. It was really close the whole match.

So that is pounds and kellys heavywights?

yeah. Jerry short is pounds and Daniel Dean is kelly's. i believe daniel's only just started a couple days before the match.
