I'm sure no one can say that Kelly didn't play their hearts out, but it's hard playing against Clintwood, much less the refs tonight. and for the guy on WAXM radio asking why it still wasn't first down after the penalty...thats because it was 3rd and 10 not first and 10 when the penalty happened..
Thought that foul was marked off from the spot of the foul? Guess it depends where the foul occurred in relation to the line of scrimmage.
I think I will wait on cooler minds to start posting before I make any comment about this game.
It's not the block in the back call that had me fired up, it was the lose of two downs that was missed. The block in the back occured at about 5 yards past the marker. They marked off that yardage including the unsportsmanlike on Coach Salyers, and it was still 3rd down. If im not mistaking when a penalty happens past the first down marker, including a block in the back, they mark it off where the penalty happened. If I'm wrong I stand corrected but I think Kelly got screwed out of 2 downs. Taking nothing away from Clintwood, they are a good football team, but it is hard playing against the referees.
There was a personal foul after the play too. That moved em back more.Quote:
