As a horror fan, the twilight movies have ruined werewolves and vampires.
Anyone else as upset about this as I am??
Werewolves are supposed to be awesome, ruthless killers not teenagers who worry about high school drama and love and bullshit.

Yes. Everytime I see that stupid commerical on tv, I make fun of it to my gf. She always replies "Cindy (her sister) really likes those books. She thinks they're good.". I'd rather have a phillips screwdriver inserted into the tip of my penis up to the handle than have to sit through that shit. It looks absolutely horrible. And what's up with that chick? The Twilight fad, just like the Harry Potter one, will thankfully be over soon enough. OK, Harry Potter wasn't quite this disgraceful to any specific material, but the hype around it was nearly as bad.

I'm not hating on fiction, I enjoy a great book.
But I enjoy WELL WRITTEN books with a dynamic plot and interesting, realistic characters, and Twilight has none of those qualities.
Guys into that "Twilight" mess creep me out....it just has a homoerotic tinge to it all that I want no part of....emo-shmeemo..I mean, hell...isn't that just a creative word for a masculine girl or feminine sissified boy that wears black junk on their face and has a tendency to cut themselves?...This country..er, world is goin' to hell in a hand basket. OK, just saw a Coalfield and it just turned up my HATE factor to 11 about this movie. It just bothers me, grown women goiing around wearing "Team whoever" shirts, quoting line from the movie and tearing up. so an so forth. I mean I can understand maybe liking the movie and such, even though it is aimed at 14 year old girls.
Honestly, I liked this movie. I'm not Team this or that or bugging out over it. And I don't feel it's ruined anything. That could be because I'm not some die hard horror fan. But I just see it as the writer's attempt to take it in another direction. Kind of like the new Star Trek movie. They just took it on a totally new tangent. I'm a die hard Trekkie and I had no problem with it. Just take it for what it is....what all movies are...entertainment. No more no less.

A few years ago I got into an argument with one of those people about vampires and emos. It's no one close to me or in the family thank god. This kid was convinced she was a vampire and tried to say Christians are vampires with the whole Eucharist/Communion thing where the wine signifies Christ's blood.
