We've blown two leads on this bunch already, we are due. It helps that we have 5-6 guys who can put double figures on you. I really like our chances.

Until UVAW replaces the current mens BB coach I'm going to have a hard time ever pulling for them. Pretty low class individual IMO.

I have that same opinion about the current GC boy's BB coach.

The UVAW coach is a different matter. I don't think too much of a coach who acted the way he did at JIB this year when the altercation broke out including other things I'll not get in to.

Since this week is coach awareness week here on the forum, lets all welcome scotty vermillion to the board.

I think scotty still has a bad taste since Coach Clark transferred his son from GC to JJK due to scotty refusing to play him.

I gotta say that this is the first time I've ever heard anything negative regarding Mr. Clark's "lack of class". Now I grant you that I wasn't there that night,but that sure seems out of character for him. You'll be hard pressed to find folks who dislike the man.

Why would a someone leaving who couldn't break into the rotation leave a bad taste? You do have to earn PT you know. I'd say he would be glad the kid went some where where he could get some playing time. :confused:

You know you don't have to like Coach Clark but as far as class he has it without a doubt...he runs a clean and very disciplined program with a great amount of class and is highly-respected amongst all his peers.

This team plays hard and has the most Academic All-Conference players in the classroom as well.

You won't find a bunch of college players that are more respectful around and give all for a coach that is the AAC Coach of the Year and deservedly so...

The Cavs should go to Barbourville tomorrow night and take care of business for their second run to the NAIA National Championships...hard to defend when you have 7 and on occasion 8 players who can easily all put double digits up on you on a any night.

Co-sign. Stuff like that just doesn't come out of normal peoples mouth, there's only so much you can chalk up to the 'heat of the moment.' Its disgusting and yes, its caused a lot to lose respect for him, Burtons principle would agree.

Can't say that I had ever heard a bad word about Coach Clark before. Didn't know he was involved the night the JIB fiasco happened either. Just seems odd.

Scotty, why would you be posting on the LPD board? You must have a lot of extra time on your hands right about now. What's up with that?

I think that Coach Clark acted as any parent would at the Burton game, when his son was assulted and if Burton's principal has a problem with Coach Clark maybe he should consider doing his job and maintaining control of his school's players. .

After watching the LPD district tournament, I for one cannot figure out what GC-1 is talking about with the Clark kid. He played a heck of a tounament and after watching GC play, I can't figure out why he wasn't getting to play at GC, unless Scotty had a problem with Coach Clark. The kid seemed to exhibit the same class I've alway seen out of Coach Clark. In addition, he handled the ball well, played good defense, and took smart shots. I guess those traits are not needed at GC, just LDP schools.

And Kelly's players aren't and weren't any angels. It's disgusting and no excuse for it. Our problem on our team was taken care of by the principle, so was Clark and his use of Burtons gym, while Kelly did nothing about their "problems".

Kelly's players did not start the fight, nor were the involved in other problems. The only player that was involved was punished. Kelly's principal has the wisdom not to make public due to privacy laws the action taken against players. Also, Coach Clark did not make racial comments. Maybe people with a lack of understanding and intelligence, assign meaning to comments made by other when they shouldn't.

I would be careful accusing someone of something like racism.

The egged it on the whole game, that much has been proven. What discipline was taken against the players? Suspension or anyone kicked off the team?

I wasn't there, but dang if that wouldn't surprise the heck out of me to hear Coach Clark say something like that. If that were true, I would have thought a move would have been made by UVA-Wise to suspend him or something because it would be a black eye to the school.

I have no idea what's went on there, but from what I was told by several faculty members, he's not allowed to use our gymnasium again because of the incident...which he has had to do many times. That was part of what sent things over the edge, the comments were heard by the hothead from Burton(plus family members that heard shouting back and others also), then it got worse and worse. I seen it on the tape, really good friends with the one that does the recording of the games, just the other week. Zero respect for him.

I was there - I was near the Burton bench and could hear his comments and I did not hear any comments of that nature! I suggest that R-13 call up Coach Clark and ask him what was said. I have always known him to have the upmost integrity and I think he would be glad to sit down and discuss the situation with you (R13). It is easy to sign on to an anonymous site and spit out slander about someone but it takes a man to sit down and talk to them. I didn't think this site was designed for anonymous slander. I could accuse any Coach of making that type of comment....but that doesn't make it true.

As I stated before, I would be careful with accusations of that nature. You are crossing a line when you do start doing that.

Sure. This was just pulled all of this out of nowhere, I seen what happened and I heard from very reliable people(not HS kids) of what was said and the 'banning' of usage from the gym. I didn't say that every word was some slur out of his mouth, but those words were used and was a big part of what set this off. I don't blame him for being ****ed about what was going on out on the court, understandable, but it went way over the line - I've heard plenty of stories of what happened the day after, this wasn't some rumor as some of them were, though it was the talk of everyone I talked to about it. I'm not anonymous and this isn't some random site, I probably won't comment anymore on it(pretty strong denial going on), but it won't changed what happened or the slurs that were used. I'll go edit my posts on it, just because this thread will just get more and more out of hand. The fact still remains, it's not new news, he can't take it back.

agreed. R13 u have stated if memory serves me correct you werent even at the game. Also the only tape that is available was the in house security.

You seriously need to get your facts straight before you begin to toss around rumors.

This was a personal tape, never said it the "official" one from the school, so no. Actually seen around 10 cell phone videos from the fight and all throughout the game. There's several plenty you can find on facebook pages, did you think that was the only video taken?

That doesn't mean he still doesn't wear it because of the old injury.

Maybe you know something that I don't. I haven't seen him wear it in a game. Have you been to any Wise games this year?

The way I read the post, it seemed like he does wear it, that he was wondering why he was. If he doesn't, then it doesn't really matter. Did he not wear it through his senior year?

He did wear it in HS and some at the beginning of last season, but I have not seen him wear it this year, but I haven't been to all the games.

Sorry I should have clarified. In the picture in the very first post in this topic he is wearing it. Might be an old picture though. Yes he did wear it all his senior year of HS.

Fisher still wears the brace as he tweeked it once this year and am sure is just good to have the support of it now...the knee though is full strength.
