Doesn't any local stations carry games anymore? I'm curious as I was trying to find the coeburn score, you would think with cell phones it would be easier to carry a game live or yet use a laptop and stream it to a stations website.

someone had a link to a site either here or on cmd forum that had a live stream with all the games on it not radio but play by play and score for some 10 games. please if someone has the link post it.
I think there are just a few around here that do and the ones that I know of their teams are already out. Does Gate City's cover baseball games too? Don't believe they stream online though even if they do. There's not too many Ive seen upstate either. Hogoheegee.com had some updates (via twitter) from games but doesn't look like had Holston's game or any others today.
Are you talking about gamedaymagazine.com dj? They just have a couple or so games for today and none of them around here. They might have more for the semifinal and championship games, again its a site you have to pay to watch/listen to the games though too. Or might be referring to Powell Valley's live stat feed deal? That was just for their games also.

Score from the Coeburn/Holston game came from the Cumberland forum. Update over there says the game was called after 17 innings (darkness), tied at 1-1, to continue tomorrow.

they might have time to play but thats not the way it happend, im sure everyone has a problem with having to drive all the way back up
18 innings isn't exactly common.
They played for nearly 4 hours, that doesn't happen very often.
The only reason they don't have lights is because the majority of the softball field is the football practice field.
It was a great game to watch, Coeburn had it won just before play was suspended.
With a runner at second and 2 outs, a Coeburn batter hit a shot up the middle and the game appeared to be over. But the Holston centerfielder played it off the hop and threw a strike to the plate, where the catcher blocked the plate perfectly and put the tag on the runner.
Holston also had it won in the 15th, when the Coeburn rightfielder layed out for a ball down the line that rolled all the way to the fence and ended up being a inside the park homerun. Then in the bottom half of the inning, with 2 outs and nobody on, Coeburn got a infield single, and a walk. Then Lindsay Lawson, with 2 strikes, got a base hit up the middle to score the runner from second.
Everyone should come see the conclusion of this one. Play resumes at 5 pm and they announced after the game that there will be no charge for admission tomorrow and they are gonna open the home side football gate so folks can park at the school and walk down.
