vikings Waive randy moss! that didnt take long, did it>?
Dang, you beat me to it. Crazy. I guess playing with Brett Favre isn't so fun after all.
wow, i just got a mobile alert about it.
thats incredible.
where does he end up now?
Since the season is a waste, Jerry finally signs Moss like he thought he should have in 97. Dallas goes exclusively 4 wide with Moss and Williams wide. Austin and Bryant in the slots and sometimes running in Felix at RB or Witten to actually have 5 receivers out there.
No, I am not serious, although it wouldn't surprise me. That said, I think Donovan wouldn't mind having Randy on the bench to goof off with him in Washington while Rex Grossman is playing.
I would love to see the Niners make a play for him, but I know better. No way does Singletary sign off on it, bringing in an attitude problem like Moss.
but his talent is obvious, he can still be a dominant WR in this league if a team focuses on getting him the ball.
If somehow the Niners did land him, that would give them all sorts of weapons on the outside.
Crabtree is finally playing well, growing into a complete wideout.
Josh Morgan has been very reliable for them, great hands and a big time athlete.
and Vernon Davis, the most physically skilled TE in the NFL who led all TE's in TD passes (13, led the league)
I know it wont happen, but a man can dream cant he?
What are the chances of him going back to the Pats? I like him going to the skins, though. That'll give Shanahan someone else's attitude to worry about other than Haynesworth.
It really wouldn't surprise me to see him go back to the Pats.
he reminds me of the smartassed kid in elementary school that nobody wants to play with. yeah, he is one of the best on the team but nobody can put up with him. You pick him to NOT throw the ball to just so he whines about it, then you beat him up in the bushes when he runs his mouth too hard or trade him to the other team for the little fat kid that cant run but you enjoy having on the team because he is funny and at least tries.
Moss would have to clear every other team first before New England could claim him.
Buffalo has first dibs, then Carolina and Dallas
and he was not listed on the transactions for today, so he is not officially waived yet
I wonder if Pittsburgh would entertain the thoughts of him after Holmes went to NY.
I doubt he makes it all the way to Pitt, they are one of the last teams in line in terms of waiver priority.
I bet he does not get past a team like Tampa or, as strangely as it sounds, Indy.
Indy has been decimated by injuries, and if anybody can get Moss the ball, its Peyton.
I thought about Indy as well, but as weak as their HC is, I would be surprised if Polian would sign him. I think he probably clears waivers actually and becomes a free agent. I think most are probably tired of him.
I really dunno, I figure a team like Cleveland, Buffalo, Carolina, etc.. will take a chance on him.
thats also why i would not count Dallas out. with nothing else to lose, why not take the gamble.
The Niners will get an early crack at him, I dont care about the attitude problems if he will actually play.
Bolts!!!
I think he'll end up Miami or Chicago.
Saw the Vikings owner was upset that they made this decision.
chicago would be awesome for its hilarity
moss+cutler+martz on offense would be epic, for the inevitable disaster
i dunno bout miami, they just traded for marshall, and their offense is still run-based
what about moss back in oakland? that would be hilarious as well.
i think a middle of the pack/playoff cusp team will take a chance on the huge talent
You know i'm not trying to be a homer here but I would love for the Titans to pick him up. He would give the team a deep there with Britt and with Moss out there that would force Ds to give CJ space. CJ is seeing 8 or 9 man fronts every game
Britt may be done for the year.
You think so? I haven't seen anything about it? I know he pulled it?
I hope not but if so Randy would be a must you'd think
Fisher has said he will miss a "significant amount of time". Anytime something like that is said, it isn't a good thing.
I read the last thing out and he said he won't be back after the bye but their still unsure when he'll be back. They said if he is out for the season they will tell everyone
I would just like to thank the Patriots for letting play on their field today. I would also like to congratulate Tom Brady on the victory and his command of the offense and the owner for the nice towels in the locker room and the buffet before the game, and also the groundskeeper who cleans and paints field and the hot dog vendor in section 4B, and the guy who parks my car. Come on Randy why didn't you just get up and say my team sucks my QB is an ego-maniac and terrible texter, the coach has no balls and the owners name is Ziggy please take me back. I am surprised they let Moss on the team plane, I would have put his butt on a Greyhound bus and made him ride to Minnesota. After the press conference is anyone surprised.
Maybe he is not as dumb as he looks, maybe he realized how much he ****ed his team off and said I'll just fly back tomorrow, maybe he did it on purpose who knows. Maybe he'd be happy playing in Canada or the Arena League, but if I were a GM I would touch him with a yardstick.
