Barring something crazy in last minute, Wiman defeats Miller 30-27.
Wiman has DOMINATED Miller from the opening bell. After Miller put on a great performance against Pierson, he has got owned by Wiman tonight.
Wiman has great pace and GnP. Just eating up Miller.
Wiman came out like gangbusters and landed big shots standing then took Miller down and landed NASTY ground strikes. He has been able to totally control Miller.
Joey Beltran is TOUGH AS NAILS!
He has ate AT LEAST 6-7 clear head kicks and just shrugged them off.
This fight has not been Sakuraba/Carlos Newton in terms of technical brillance, but its been good ole fashioned slugfest with Barry landing crips leg kicks and punches while Beltran has scored with slugging punches and clinch work.
About a minute and a half minutes left now, anybody's fight
Hominick just ran thru Roop easily. Knocked him down 3x and just demolished him.
At 145, nobodys striking touches Aldo but Hominick is easily 2nd. He looked great tonight and finished Roop with ease.
So far;
Wiman def. Miller by UD
Barry def. Beltron by UD
Hominick def. Roop by TKO
Matt Mitrione is turning into a BEAST. Another dominant victory for him tonight, with a first round TKO win over Hague. Mitrione has heavy, heavy hands, very quick feet, a tough chin and insane athleticism for a big guy.
He is on the road to a true UFC HW contender.
Dunham/Guillard starting now, should be a doozy
hell yes!!!!!!!
MELVIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KO POWER *****ES
Surprised Guillard dominated Dunham like that. He may be close to a title shot.
he can beat any fighter on any given night. with his power and speed, its possible for him to beat anybody
maynard is a tough mathchup, but melvin is such a good scrambler he has to put Melvin on his back early and keep him there or he gets KOd standing.
i dont think edgar is that bad a matchup with Melvin, because Edgar will try to box and if Melvin lands its nighty night. Im also not sure Edgar can take him down and hold him there.
I bet we get Melvin/Florian next, a tough matchup for Florian
I remember not long ago when Melvin was almost a nobody - he had power, no doubt, but mentally he was simply an idiot. He would always come up short and fight stupid versus any reasonable competition (Stevenson, Clementi, etc.). The Guillard today, though, is just vastly improved. I'm actually shocked at how he's matured as both a person and fighter. I never thought I'd see Guillard in contention for a title, but the way he's looking right now I'm not sure if there's anyone in his weight division that can stop him on his good nights.
I'm still suspect of melvins ground game. But no doubt he's a better fighter since going to Jacksons camp.
