Which Altec horns are these(Pair listed separately)? Are these, with the included ER 15s or 416/515s, OK for home use?

A pair of 902s with small Mantarays is also listed by this seller.

I'm not sure what these bins are. They don't appear in the Stanley Screamers Cat, maybe an EV bin? They look large, maybe the successor to the 815/6?

Me Too. The Altec Label looks like it was just stuck on there.It isn't even flush with the wood.

I can't recall but there was a large Altec dealer down under, they may be the builders or know them...

With the bends in the horn mouth it's got a Mantaray look to it.It is definitely homebrew you can see the saw cutmarks in the front/face boards.Especially at the top.No factory cabinet would have those there.They would be sanded out IMO.

In a decent shop those wouldn't be there in the first place. I would fire anybody who cut wood that badly.

In a big shop mistakes cost time=money. It has to be right the first time.

Boy, when you put the two together it makes a good comparison easy...Yep I agree they do not look like factory Altecs to me now. I wonder if it sounds good. I couldn't find anything in a google search other than a company named STS that makes speakers...but these particular ones were nowhere to be seen.

In the pre-internet and pre-digital camera days there is much less documentation.

One of my unpublished SF stories (I do not write SciFi) has to do with a future religion where mankind and the Internet were spontaneously generated at the same time, at least to according historians....oh well, I ramble...
