...and it was the stupidest most moronic, embarassing thing ever. I had no idea what was going on but needed some paper towels. I went to Wal Mart to get them. The entire parking lot that usually has 20 cars was full from Wal Mart to the old Food Lion. I went in Wal Mart and there were herds of people there. People waiting in lines behind chains, standing in little pockets of 10-20 strewn throughout the store. When I was able to get threw to pay for my $6 worth of stuff, I asked the girl what the f' was going on she said "Rick Flair is supposed to be here" and rolled her eyes. I asked her why and she said she had no idea but supposedly he was 2 hours late. She said it'd been that way since 7:30 this morning and this was at 6 pm. It was a good look at the typical mouthbreathers that crawled out of the hollers to come see their gray haired messiah.
Well Jesus was from the Mid East so I would imagine he was pretty dark in the first place. That's why I was wondering what the very tan thing meant. Its kinda like saying they would treat someone like a very fat Butterbean.
So let me get this straight you call people dumb ass's and idiots because they will go stand in a crowd to meet and maybe even get their picture taken with someone famous? You said you thought about going and doing it yourself. So wouldn't that put you into that same category. Or are you saying because you didn't act on it, that distinguishes you from them?
Not hard for an argument but you said you hate living in this area and call people dumbasses and idiots for doing the same thing you have done. I was just pointing that out to you. If I hated the an area so much I would move the hell out. I wouldnt go wait in a crowd for someone famous period. Im not gonna shit on someone if they do tho. I just thought it was funny you putting folks down for something you have done and was pretty proud of. They probly didnt even have to travel as far as you to do it.
HAHA R13 why you erase your posts?
Just a dumbass argument, not that I take anything that I said back, just done with you. Forum has died, but you still follow me from what few threads I post in these days, don't know why it took me that long to realize that was the most moronic thing to argue about and who I was arguing with. Have fun.
Not sure what I have done though? lmao I said there were dumbass people around here(never directly called them it) and I said that people didn't know how to act when something remotely different comes around, but yeah, you sure did call me out and I screwed up huh? Good one though, you really got me and had me back tracking? lol Didn't expect anything else from you, you're known for picking posts apart that you can't comprehend and trying to turn them into a huge slight against you and everyone you know. Oh well.
Every name that 13 called those dolts fit to a T. I saw pictures of one moron wearing speedos, a blue robe, and a fake championship belt in Wal Mart. There were grown men crying and thousands of tards yelling "Woooooooo." every 3 seconds. If you're over 10 years old and watch wrestling you're a moron. Sadly, my own mom watches the shit and it detracts her IQ at least 30 points everytime I think about it.
I used to love wrestling, when it was actually good and interesting. It's died off a lot. Still very enjoyable from time to time.
No reason to knock all those people, it's like that at every Ric Flair signing. The man is a wrestling god. It's like a small Comic Con but with hillbillies and speedos. Outside of Wise County, it's normal for people to have those signings or events and see everyone costumed out and having fun.
Saw Flair wrestle Dusty Rhodes a long, long time ago. This was when I was probably 16-16 years old in the early to mid 70's. He supposedly is the nephew of the famous Anderson Brothers wrestling duo (Gene and Olie) in the 70's.
when they use to have those show over kingsport at dobbins bennet I thought that was big time. seen a lot of good stuff over there in the late 70's early 80's, somewhere in that time frame.
Flair was no actual relation to The Andersons, in fact the Andersons weren't related :) Gene's real name is Anderson but Ole's was Rogowski. Arn was also no actual reation. His real name is Lunde.
Flair was trained for the pro ranks by a tough old-time 'Shooter" by the name of Verne Gagne . The story around the oldschool wrestling circles is that Gagne made you actually wrestle (shoot) during your training days, not just learn the tricks of the trade. This probably explains why Flair has a cauliflower ear. You don't get cauliflower ear by doing purely fake stuff (works). He was also helped in his training by the legendary catch-as-catch-can wrestler Billy Robinson. Robinson, who is now around 80 has made a name for himself in the modern MMA world by teaching some amazing grappling seminars focusing on submission holds. He is also noted for having trained MMA legend Kazushi Sakuraba who defeated four members of the Gracie family including Royce. He is also the trainer and mentor of MMA heavyweight Josh Barnette.
Dude your a moron. I comprehended what you said and saw that your a hypocrite. Remember you posting a pic of you and Clinton? You really wanna bash folks for wanting to meet someone they looked? Sounds like you have the trouble comprehending things. You bashed folks for doing what you did. Man I do have trouble at time comprehending what an idiot you are at times tho.
Hey starbuck I was reading a thing not to long ago about all the wrestlers that have came through Kingsport back in the days there was a bunch. Starting with small promotions and working their way up.
Hey Gotch I used to watch AWA wrestling when I was younger I remember Verne Gagne. I like hearing about the older wrestlers. I'm Pulling for Barnett in the Strikeforce Tourney. I think he will take it.
Ron and Don Wright, Johnny Valentine, Wahoo McDaniel, Paul Jones, All of them passed through Kingsport, I remember seeing all of the at the old Kingsport Civic Auditorium. Also, the Super Destroyer, Mr. Wrestling I and II, The Super Destroyer was actually unmasked here in BSG by none other that a BSG cop after getting arrested, thus ending his career in this area.
I think one of the big matches I saw was Flair vs Dusty Rhodes. like I said, as a kid it was like being at the superbowl.
Heres a read on why Flair may even be doing things such as coming to an appearance at the BSG WalMart for those wondering why:
Shane Ryan on the personal struggles of wrestling star Ric Flair - Grantland
Hey stripes thanks for the read. Pretty interesting stuff.
Hey CDawg what is the story of The Super Destoyer getting arrested?
Ol Naitch was supposed to come do a book signing at Twin Valley back in June of 08, but something happened and Stamford unbooked him.
Went back and found the thread and it said the event was "Okayed by John Laurenitis", who's getting some face time as Hunter's asst. now than Vince got "booted out" of office.
Some problem with WWE and NWA blew up a couple of weeks b4 the show and WWE laid the screws to 'im.
I was always into the WWF as a kid. I can still remembering going to either Bristol or Johnson city (I believe Bristol) to watch a match between Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. The match itself lasted about 5 minutes. The theatrics prior to and after that individual match (between the Miss Elizabeth stuff and Hogan's victory hand to ear and flex celebration) lasted about 20 minutes.
Macho Man = Best ever.
I think you mean "you're a moron", genius. If you're going to call someone names like an idiot and moron, at least put it into a somewhat intelligent sentence. You should probably go look up what "hyprocrisy" is, it would only be hypocritical if I had actually done the same thing or would do the same thing. Sorry, I don't see where I did or would go stand in line to meet a senior-citizen that used to be famous to one circle of fans, while waiting morning to night with guys in speedo's going "woooooooooo" every two-seconds at a Wal-mart. Somehow you've compared that to meeting one of only FORTY-THREE DIFFERENT POTUS in history including our current one, a Rhodes Scholar and has consistantly been ranked in the top-half of the greatest presidents we've had...yeah, I did what they did though, such a hypocrite. I realize it must have hit close to home with you or something, but at least come up with something better than that. Not even worth calling you any names, you make a far-better case than I ever could with your finishers like "Man I do have trouble at time comprehending what an idiot you are at times tho."
WOW seems like you lost some sleep over getting called out as a moron and a hypocrit. Truth hurts I guess.
Now away from this idiot and back to wrestling
7teen I was into the WWF back in the days anybody remember the wrestling Cartoon that came on Saturdays. I rember it had Lou Albano
Lol that's why I was bored a week after you made a dumbass post and replied? If that's you're idea of calling someone out, you're even dumber than I thought lol, such a little-kid mentality. Those speedo's must be on too tight and you're probably still dizzy from wooooo'ing all day in the sun.
Really, is waiting to meet Ric Flair any different that waiting to meet someone like Will Smith or U2? they are all in the entertainment business and famous. What some might like and what others like is always going to be different to what you like. for me I couldn't give 2 big piles of crap if Kurt Cobain was found to have faked his death and Nirvana is going to go on tour and put out a new album. for some (A LOT) it would be total bliss. to me it would be a total waste of time to try to meet the likes of Nirvana. Now if there was a chance to have one last live interview with Eric Carr that would be cool and I'd wait to see that.
