What did I tell yall bout Lee

I said after the Union game thta this is the best I have seen Lee in years. When i made that comment everyone said "no way! Burton will beat em" I told the burton people not unless you can keep it close in the 4th quarter and can pass. Well seems to me that was what happened. Lee is tough and should win the clinch mountain. Va High is up and down, John Battle is the only consistant team in the Clinch besides Lee.
My hat is off the young men of Ben Hur and To Burton boys for givin them a good game. Hard fought win for JIB and another tough loss for Generals but I think they will do great here on out

GC may be 0-3 but IMHO they have to still be the CMD fav.......Lee WILL beat Lebanon but are to 1 demetual to think they can run the table in the CMD this season......On top of that if they run Grahm 30 times a game he WILL break down

that is true about rinning him 30 times a game. on the SWVA forum someon said that Grahm is hurt and wont play next week against Harlan Co. Idk if its true or hearsay but I will say this Anders is fast as well. Gatecity will pull it together but Lee is no push over like they have been in years past. They got the speed to go toe to toe with JIB and the size to push most any d line out of the way. sometimes one deminsional isnt that bad

Lee isn't much of passing threat, but with that said, they don't need to pass much. That's just the offense. They can however throw the football some, mostly short passing and mostly on 2pt conversions although Sage is a good deep ball threat when he comes on.

lets see bout the D line. they allowed Grahm to rush for 200 plus and still won. If im not mistaken and I may be but JIB gave up more yards last night on the ground against Lee. TW gave up way more than Union. So im pretty safe in saying that Yes this is the best D line we have had in 10 plus years between pv and appy (which was what i said)

If that's what you said I apologize. I thought you'd said this area since the 90's. Even with saying that, I don't agree. PV and Appy both got to a state title game with a better D line than what's in BSG right now. They've given up almost 500 yards rushing in 3 games. If the Johnson kid had played more offense in the Richlands game they'd be way over 500 allowed so far. Lebanon who has the worst run game they've had in at least 10 years got over 100 against them last night. Again, if I'm remembering wrong, sorry. Either way I think you're wrong and are doing a disservice to at least those other two teams mentioned above that got to state title games in the last decade.

Rushing stats for Lee: 292 against Union, 509 against TW, and 474 against Burton.

What about Burton? Last time i checked they are from this area and Lee put up 100 plus more rushing on them than Union. Stats speak for themselves. If im not mistaken we held Richlands to only 24 points which is less than anyone else so far

Union's D also held Richlands to the fewest points in a game for them in something like 2 or 3 years. Unions D also held Lebanon to 0 points, thats more than Honaker did in their win over lebanon or Grundy for that matter. With Richlands, well gatecity didnt do that, Grahm didnt do that.

has the achilles been confirmed? coalfield said he left with cramps but who knows if that is correct!

Its what I heard, can't confirm it completely myself. I think most assumed cramps from the way it looked and because of the way he came off near the end of the 1st half.

I missed one Brooksvill held Richlands to 0 on 11/29/08. So 6 Times in 31 Games is all that Richlands has ben hled lower than what union held them two weeks ago.

So they did what 20% of other teams have done when they didn't have their best player?

This season Johnson onl played 5 minutes against Gate City and they didnt hold the rest of em to under 24 points did they. Johnson played 2 or three series at running back against Union and all the game at linebacker. Looks to me that I am correct sir. Does it kil you that you are not correct in this? sure seems like that to me sir. And as far as that goes, Lee (which what this post is about) is alot better than people have given them credit for.

You're not even at .500 now. Because you spit out the useless 6 out of 31 stat that proves that the scary bears are nothing more than the top 20% of losers proves nothing. Ive been here for over 10 years and plan on being here longer. Im a fan of the teams in the area but that doesnt make me blind or a fool or a homer like you. We dont have a decent team at the moment. Hopefully by the time playoffs roll around someone will be worth watching.

This Richlands team has only played 3 games and 2 scrimages......I don't think you can really compare this years Richlands (Which is a young team) to the group over the last 2 years That being said Union played them a heck of a game and probably tighter than anyone else will this season (depending on how they fair vs Pulasiki)

I DO think Union is a solid team but I am not drinking the coolaid just yet Lee needs a quality win and I reserve judgment on Lebanon until I see how the GC Game turns out (IMHO the loser of that game very well may be behind the 8 ball for the rest of the season)

Im in no way comparing this years Richlands to last. the 6 out of 31 comment is that only 6 times in 31 Richlandshas been held under 24 points, which puts Union in a postition to be where only 6 out of 31 teams are in the last two seasons. I made the comment that Union held richlands to one of the lowest point margins they have scored in tow or three years and ole Ironlung is "no way" so i named the games since 2008 that Richlands has been held to less than 24 points. I think being 6 out of 31 isa good thing and this fool is like that just 20% oohh la di da. Union is in the top 20% which proves my point Union has one of the best D lines i have seen in this area in a long time.

In the past 3 years Lee High has scored more points on just 10 less teams than they scored on Union this season. Last season 7 teams allowed Lee fewer points than Union did this season. In 09 6 teams allowed fewer points than Union did this season. In 08 7 teams again allowed fewer points than Union did this season. So common sense tells you that 20 teams out of 30 have been better than Union the last 3 years. 66% of the teams they've played have played better defense than Union did this season.
