Burton takes the lead, 34-33, just under 6 mins to play.
Honaker fumbled on their possession following the Burton score and JIB took back over. The Tigers did manage to hold the Raiders on their next possession and force them to punt it away but the ball hit a Honaker player, Burton recovered, and capitalized with a score a couple of plays later.

You can't always go by that, especially with high school kids. I'm sure there was a bit of looking ahead by Honaker. Burton's defense was suspect and Honaker is well coached. I expected that game to be 40 something to 30 something, so was pretty close to expected. Not trying to kick Norton when they are down, but their schedule has prevented people from knowing what they had, and Jimbo has (IMO) covered every question raised and kept trying to say things like 'football isn't dead in Norton'.
It's bad to say that Honaker barely beat Hurley last week when Norton didn't exactly own Haysi, in a game that was a bit closer than the score.

Yeah, that's true. But I also noticed the game in which Honaker lost to John Battle, a team Burton easily defeated, and that they beat Eastside just by a field goal. I guess I expected Burton to easily handle a team of that caliber. Like you said, though, Burton didn't exactly manhandle Haysi last week, either, and that makes today's result more understandable.
I think that a lot of people were giving Norton more respect this year because of all the speed. But, if you look at them, they are really a small team(size). They showed me at the Union game that they were very suspect especially in the second half. Yeah, Jimbo hid their weaknesses pretty well up until 3-4 weeks ago when the tougher part of their schedule started. Hats off to them though on a very sucessful season.
Honaker has a huge size advantage over Burton. That's been their achiles heel all year.
Yeah, they are down in speed this year, but they are still a fairly fast team.
