Old Guy is my favorite person on this forum, I love his witty sarcasm, maybe he is just on vacation? The moderators of this forum must know his exact location, and might I suggest if need be, could peruse his location’s local news outlets and check out for the worst? Altec Best?

All that said, i must confess that i have a nagging little worry in the back of my mind that i may have genuinely pissed OG off with something i posted in a thread a while back.
Now, maybe(hopefully) i'm making a mountain out of a molehill and my post has nothing to do with his absence, and it's purely coincidental. The OG that i know is a pretty tough cookie, and i'd like to think that if he had a problem with what i said that he'd have called me on it either in the open forum or via PM because my post wasn't at all directed at him or any individual poster for that matter.
So, Old Guy, if you happen across this thread, and indeed it was something i said that has stopped you from participating here, please accept my sincerest apology.
Also, if indeed i had any influence on his absence, i offer my apologies to the entire forum.
I have read alot of OG's threads, I just wan't to thank you OG for all the information you have given us, and I hope you are in bed with a red head right now!!! Hope all is well!!!!!
Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. Old Guy is one of my favorites here too--when he chimes in on a thread with his two cents it's more like a dollar! He really knows his Altecs and speakers/sound in general and has always been very helpful and giving with his knowledge. I doubt if anything anyone said here is keeping him away--he always has had a thick skin and can dish it out as well as take it. I agree this forum isn't the same without him--I hope he's OK and back soon. IIRC, he had some health problems recently--if that's what is keeping him away I hope he's in better health soon. Let's hope "the redhead" just temporarily revoked his computer privileges (by "fixing" his computer with a sledge hammer) after he brought home a pair of A-2-X's and that he'll be back soon...... I agree that bfish's presence is missed here greatly too--that's a big loss to our forum if those two guys (or either one of them) don't return......
This is my gut feeling too. I'd expect a can of verbal "whoop-ass", and opportunity to learn something if it was something i said. But, on the off chance, i just wanted it out there. I have a great deal of respect for his experience and knowledge, and like the other posters here i look forward to, and currently miss his posts.Quote:

Dunno, we use PM email addresses. Just re-sent my 10-8 response to his 9-17 PM. With the kind of customer-no-service I often get with yahoo mail ever since AT&T bought them, he may never have got it.

I got the impression from a couple other posts in this thread that he is a man currently consumed by work with time for little else. Myself and a few others i know could be a tad envious of that in the current times. Hope all is otherwise well with the fishmeister. Maybe we'll soon hear from him as "snow days" approach.Quote:
