Note: I have no idea what message that emoticon is supposed to convey but if there was ever a time to use it.... its now.
$700 :eek2: :Lmao:
I had no idea that Savard had a design contract with Sony. ;)
LOL! They are looking a bit Savard. Ultra-mega-plus speakers. Do they sound like they look?
HEY.... Nobody says the "S" word here anymore or I will dispatch the flying monkeys.
Well now that you mentioned it..... Those Sony's are kinda Savardish, kinda like those huge pails of snacks you get at Sam's Club, not very good but you get a lot. :)
Those are the top of the bottom line.
"I don't have a lot of information on these speakers but from what I understand, you were only able to purchase these in Japan in the early 1970's."
Quick.....someone get me a time machine so I can get some more of these babies.
I wonder if they were a "PX Special" made for American GIs to bring back home?
They strike me as the illegitimate love children of a drunken encounter between some Gemini DJ speakers and a Soundesign all-in-one in the dimlit back corner of some seedy hicktown bar.
Consider how much they like anime, the style fits right in.........
GM
these are mid 80's most likely.

once one's eyes become adjusted to/for/because of the shock,
the beauty becomes more aparent.
as does the danger!
which is part of the beauty as well.

There isn't a lot of info on them. I did find a Sony "Wega Disco" series, with a reference to one of that model being rebadged by Sony as part of this series.

Ah-hah! Wega disco 30!

A great deal of the info on the net is one guy posting to multiple forums. Possibly the seller?
There are or were several pairs around the country on CL. Most way less than half the seller's price.
I suspect the "rarity" claim is very exaggerated. Obviously sold other places than Japan.
Just right for your Bee Gees and Donna Summer record collection! Let's dance.
