Anybody getting a Hostboard Not Responding message, sometimes, when attempting to post on the Board?

Steven is doing a lot of upgrades/updates so there maybe some issues that arise known and unknown. Thanks for posting, if they continue let me know and I'll pass them a long.It maybe a tempororay issue while he is doing the upgrades so that's why I say wait, unless they are constant, then it probably is a software bug. I'll pass it a long at that time if it's seems to be a constant software issue.

Hi Marshall,
I have had no other complaints.Since you are the only one experiencing issues posting it maybe something on your computer.Have you installed any new updates,programs on your computer recently ? If so, try a systems restore to a point before you started having issues.I would also do a Virus scan with your AV.Are you only having problems with Hostboard or are all forums an issue. Send me all pertinent information.I will try to help you the best I can.
Since no one else seems to have posting problems I think it has something to do with your PC.What version of Windows are you using ?
FWIW, I've had problems regularly for years now, but figure it's my crappy 'customer no service' AT&T DSL service.

The problem right now is Steven hasn't finished the upgrades yet.And he still has the HB control panel disabled so I can't do too much.
I've never had a problem with it. Knock on an old walnut heathkit cabinet. : D
I have done another system restore to a time earlier than the last Hostboard maintenance period. I will see what happens from now on.

( In-fact ) On this very date, a lot of my connections changed for the worst ( numerous "time-outs") .

AB, the problem is ongoing. The most recent time it occurred I brought up Task Manager and selected Switch To and the message posted. It beats me.
OK let me know if I can help ? I still think it might be something with the computer.I have had no other similar complaints recently.I was hoping the system restore would have worked for you. HB Control panel is still disabled.
AB, the problem appears to have gone. I can't fathom it.
OK Marshall.I still think it may have been something on your computer that may have been in conflict.Software programs can be very finicky and they don't play nice with one another sometimes. I'm glad to hear that you can come to the Altec User Board and have a nice experience with no issues !! :Thumbs up:
If you have an issue again don't hesitate to let me know ! I'm still waiting for Steven to re-enable the HB Control Panel...So we can get our Green AUB skin back and also allow me to look further if Folks have some issues with their accounts here.Without the control panel my hands are tied.But I can always contact Steven for help if someone needs it in the meantime...
