Yeah looks like a later version 288C.. With a 25885 fram..
Cardinal are one of the better cinema service companies, one of the techs is quite an Altec proponent, which is good.
He would put in a 16 ohm pascalite dia for sure.
Makes sense. Just relabelled to make it easier to service.

What's the horn in that listing? I just saw a bunch like it in a cluster at the Nashville Municipal auditorium.
MR64B.............. the "B" version has a mounting flange around the mouth. The MR64A is the same horn with no flange around the mouth.Quote:

Thanks. There were a bunch in the cluster with what looked like late model 299s on 'em. Also a few 2 cell horns and one big sectoral, without the flange that the 511 has.
3 vanes at least. I hated not having the camera, there was a spot light focused right on it!
With the 300 Hz horns could likely be with 290 drivers.. Must have been some other kind of HF drivers as well as the 290's barely make it to 7000 Hz..
