Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
AFAIK Ron no one has done anything to Jeff's account.I certainly would never have done that. Jeff has helped me out in the past and is a good guy ! I'll look into it ! I have noticed his username is black meaning it looks like he was placed in as an inactive member... Active members have a purple color..
After checking his account he hasn't posted in the forum for over 6 months. 6 months being the magic number IIRC.. Steven has the HB control panel disabled still so don't know if I can help him yet... May have to get Steven to do it..
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
I updated his account but don't know if it worked until he tries to post again... In the meantime I will send Steven a Pm.
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
Thanks man, i'll let him know!
Or, he will probably read this!
Ron
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
No Problem ! Anytime Ron. I'm almost certain it was due to inactivity... I sent Jeff an email and Steven a PM, we will get to the bottom of this ASAP !
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
I got kicked off a couple times. I just started new accounts each time. This is my third or fourth one.
In any case, I'd love to see my old bud Jeff join the dialogue.

What gives?
Many of us are paying money to keep this site going - and with that should come the ability for our mods to customize and make things a bit better.
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
I Agree ! This should be fixed latter this afternoon...

Only problem is with this is he won't be able to use his original Username.. That's were Steven comes in.
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
I usually post on forums under my real name, since I am "in the business" as it were, to avoid the appearance of shilling for my stuff using a pseudonym.
When I got locked out due to inactivity, I changed to a nom de plume for this very reason.
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
I'm back! Thanks to Ron & Altec Best, and anyone else who lent a hand. BTW, I still have my original user ID and P/W.
I guess I have been pretty busy over the last six months with the performance mods I've been adding to my old 96 LT4 Corvette and other projects. I'll track the six months a little closer in the future.
Jeff

Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
Well..16 years old is relative I suppose, but they don?t last like Altecs do! Chevy doesn?t make a lot of Corvettes (only 21,536 1996 models were built) and they seem to disappear from road use rather quickly. Lately when I?m on the road or when I attend a Corvette car show I seldom see an 84-96 or older model. Most seen are newer C5 and C6 models, and the next generation C7 is due out next year. GM no longer supplies most C4 specific replacement parts, and an increasing number of parts, like rear hatch windows, are all but impossible to find at salvage. I guess I?m just seeing the handwriting on the wall and feel it's becoming more of a classic each day.
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
Yes they are ! A friend of mine is selling a 56 Corvette ! Now that is OLD ! My all time favorite is the 63 split window...
Welcome Back Jeff ! :wink2:

Art J. Your good to go as well. :cool2:
Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
Back in the 70's here guy named Ralph Corbin (Corbin Electronics) had a 54 Vette. 6 popper with tri-power! Remember Chevy didn't do the 265/283 V8 till 55.That's the oldest I've ever seen. AFAIK VERY FEW 53's. So likely I won't ever see one.

Re: Help for Jeff Markwart
That's gorgeous - and I think that's the first time I've seen one. Didn't even know they made 'em that early.

I saw one once a longtime ago..In the late 80's IIRC at a car show in Atlantic City... You could barely get near it, as it was a big attraction as you could imagine... Yeah '53 was the first year for the Chevy Corvette.
My buddy told me to stop by with my camera and take a few close up's of his '56.. It's a 283 with dual quads.

Hi Gang, Thanks for resurrecting me and my account.
We were away all summer but I did look in
here from time to time. Wonder if others are trying to get back also. (fish?)
Good to see Jeff back. Its been a long time since we worked on the Model 19 plans.
I don't have all that much to offer but I'll make an appearance now and then. Art
