yeah.. actually it's tonight, I just found out that the show starts in 30 mins. I hate myself right now, cause my friend just called, said he has a ticket for me, but I'd have to go alone. The club it's at is 40 mins away, and I'm in pajamas. The kittens here understand the true nature of how upset I am right now. Comfort me.. tell me it's ok, that I'll just see them again soon. I guess in all fairness, the idea of going to a private show put on by red bull, alone, with 30 mins notice, at a club that I dispise just wasn't tempting enough. If I had a friend to go with (ahem Erica/Janet) and 2 hours notice then I would have headed out. Oh well.. I'm over it. My question to pirate.. what do you mean they never play angels wings? They play that song every show I go to.. to be honest I'm glad to hear that they don't play it as much now, got sick of mike mumbling the words that got changed with every show. Play the hell out of it once he knows what the lyrics are gonna be.
Oh.. and something tells me that with the club it was held at, if I did show up in cotton shorts and a wife beater, I would have been shown out. The beach is such a bro hangout. [img]graemlins/gulp.gif[/img]

I would never go to any show without looking half way decent. Pajamas never.....and I only go to shows alone when I know there is going to be other people there that I know.

whoooohooooooooo my boyfriend (ya its a new thing [img]biggrin.gif[/img] ) brought me back mike and 2 bags' picks and the set list... which of coarse shows angels wings but apparently it was never played, i've only had the chance to hear him play it live once so i'm not quite as sick of it as LDG (btw LDG don't feel bad about missing it, last hootenanny i paid over $50 to see them and my car broke down on the way, i was soooo pissed, but there will always be another chance) [img]wink.gif[/img] if you get a chance to go to the punk rock bowling have tons-o-fun, i'm dying to go but just don't have the funds [img]frown.gif[/img]

My friend scored one cause his lameo friends from SLC didn't want to go, he knows of my undying love for the band, so he wanted to help. I believe they got tickets cause they worked with or for someone associated with the event, cause they went last year when it was Pennywise. Private doesn't mean secret pass word, mandatory finger printing to get in. It means there was no promotional behind the event and if you know it's going down, and have a ticket, Lucky you! And from what I've learned, as far as shows go, anything is possible.Quote:

SLC that is sort of my old neck of the woods. I lived in SLC then I moved down to St. George and now I am here. Funny you mention pennywise. The band I am involved with recorded their first record at their studio and if we get a deal Fletcher has comitted to producing it. We will even play private shows that won't be private at all.
Well this one will be more planned, so you would know.

And looking halfway decent? Definately preferable but I've just gotten up, have bed hair and am wearing a t-shirt covered in dog hair. HAHA! Yeah, it is funny how people differ. I'm a total girly girl. My lil' sis on the other hand is gorgoues, but she go outs without any make-up on, jeans, t-shirt and tennies or slippers, and runs her fingers thru her hair. If she puts a barrette in her hair, then she's "dressed up". Occasionally I can talk her into wearing lipstick. She goes solo all the time to the bars.
I actually like going solo to shows, and I've done it alot, cause its alot less hassle. But, only the shows that I'm going to see alot of people I know. Like tonights show for example, I'll know alot of people there. Those are always the funnest (especially solo).

I guess there was just too many factors against me going, being broke was the biggest. Zero gas = no going. So yeah, ghostly, If I had half a tank of gas and $10 cash, my post would have been more of a brag right then sucha shame. And Erica, have fun at your show, lemme know how it goes. Still trying to figure out the details with Castaways closing down. Gabby's voicemail is full, so I cant leave a message. I dont even know if he knows yet, but he was supposed to play at Castaways on Saturday and the awards party at Silver Dollar on Sunday. He should be one of the first to get a heads up.
