What do u guys and girls think I've been driving standard for about a 5months maybe not even my first time racing I raced 2 4th gen civics on DX and the other was and Auto SI I toke those 2 by like 5 or 6 cars I raced a 2.2 vtec prelude and I lost by half a car what do u guys think

Nope sorry, there were no auto Si's ever made. Well unless someone decided to change the tranny out for an auto...that's possible, but totally a bad idea.

Your Si is our 90-91 GL.
We started off with the 88-89 1500cc D15B engine with twin keihin carbs and the choice of manual 5 speed or auto. We then got the 90-91 1600cc fuel injected engine that resides in your Si - again optioned with manual 5 speed and auto. Both were badged as a GL.
Both versions got power windows and steering standard. A/C was optional (but everyone had it fitted - if you've ever been here in summer you'll know why http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif ) and the 90-91 had power mirrors standard.
If there *is* an auto Si running around in the US then it *might* have an import auto gearbox attached to it. Our Civics were built in Japan and brought out here by Honda, it's concievable that the JDM had auto 1600 FI combinations.
I dunno about a Civic staying close to a 'lude though - my twin-carb GL was pretty quick with no mods and the 'lude is kind of heavy. But it also has that sweet 2.0litre twin cam up front http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

you drive a STD and just barely lost toa prelude?? i think that the prelude wasnt even on the gas. i drive a std and the only car that i can beat is a little geo metro 3 cylinder (not really but close enuff) STD civic are Sloooooooowwwww.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there were auto Si's (at least in canada) I am a witness to them, I seen them. They are real, don't try telling me otherwise till you have seen one, thanx

I live in Canada as well, and have seen a couple of auto si's. I am 100% positive that there are 88-91 auto civic si's, but as far as i know, there were no auto crx si's

yeah they have D16A6 CRX and Civic in Auto in Canada. And the automatic is pretty quick...but not all of that. What's funny is the Authomatic is kinda fast through first and second but third is were you'll lose....and you have to be at least rolling at a grand...you'll lose if your from a dead stop in any automatic Honda - a given.
Anyone ever see a ZC Auto (I had).
