Pedals?

I was going to find some Aftermarket Pedals for my car but I looked and I have no holes in them for screws. So I figured I didn't want to drill into them and mess them up...

So I was thinking what if I got new OEM ones and painted them Gun Metal and drilled holes in them for a sporty look. Would it work?

Or is there other options?

None of the aftermarket pedals make you drill holes in your stock pedals. They simple just hook around your stock ones. Then you tighen them (usualy an allen key)

I recently got a set of polished ichibahn pedals. As soon as i get home from work tonight, i'll post pics of them.

I really dig these Pedals right here. I know they say Euro Type-R or something dumb on them but I'm sure I can peel that off or something.

So those should fit on my car right?

Yeah they DO screw ON,(actually more around) but not IN. There are screws in each corner of the pedals that have uhh flanges that hook behind the stock pedal. then you just tighen the screw and the aftermarket pedal "sandwiches" the stock pedal to stay in place.

that type=r is prolly stamped in the pedal and you wont be able to peel it off.

yeah im sure they would. Just about every company has there own way of attaching there pedals to your stock ones. But i have NEVER heard of anyone havong to drill holes. Thats just not hows its done.

yeah, i have been under the impressin that a good set of pedals will have to be drilled and screwed on. Mine are from Hondasport, and thats how they were mounted. IMO, the clamp on ones are cheezy, i dont like how they slide around and they seem to hit the floor when your "pedal is to the medal". I would say spend the extra time and money and screw them on. Youll never have any problems.

Ichibahn pedals are NOT cheap and they hook around the peadal. I have never had a problem with them slipping, you just have to tighen them tight.

YES THEY SCREW ON I HAVE THEM ON MY GEN 4 THEY ARE EASY TO INSTALL !!!!! JUST DRILL $ HOLES IN EACH AND THEY ARE DONE EASY AS PIE !!!!

If you want some ghetto pedals, put some skateboard grip tape on the metal and then cut to fit. It's extra light weight and your feet will never slip.

i have OBX pedal as well. they fit good and the foot rest is pretty cool. but, i've noticed they are quite slippery when your shoes are wet.

as for the type-r or whatever those pedals say...most emblems on pedals are just stickers and they wear off after a month or so of driving. your shoes will wear it off http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

I had Momo clamp-style ones on my red GL - never slipped, never touched anything else. They were pretty damn good.
