ok, i know you guys have some nice civics..what did you do for floormats? the ones i have are crappy..and no one sells the original ones anymore. i really want something that says honda or civic and looks nice. i don't want the walmart specials.

how in the world do you guys get the mats to stay in place? i've never owned a set (in my civic anyway) that stays in place. after a few miles of driving, it gets caught up back behind the clutch and brake and gets in the way. it's because of the huge stock plastic 'heel pad'...no mats will grip over that and just slide around!!!

The CostCo ones have more like spikes on them...yes I said spikes. These haven't slid around at all.

yeah, i've got wal-mart specials in mine right now too..they slide under the clutch and piss me off. that's why i want something nicer..the idea i've come up with is ordering 96 and up mats from manchester honda and putting them in, but i'm not sure about fitment and color. or perhaps del sol ones if they say si? can anyone add some more info?

i have the factory ones that say civic on them and i just bought some ichibahn aluminum floor plates that go on top. they look really good.

stock honda ones have holes in them if you look under the seat you will see a little bar sticking up you slide the holw over the bar and whalla no more problems if you punch a hole in your Walmart ones then put a rivet on it to keep it clean they wont bunch up under the clutch. (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A CANADIAN CAR IF IT MATTERS)

I still have the original SiR ones in mine - excellent condition still, complete with the Civic logo on them.
My mats go right up so you can't catch your heel on them and have small rubber bumps on the underside to hold them to the carpet. As well as that, the driver's side has a small red post about 2cm in front of the drivers seat. The back of the mat has a grommet in it which pops over the post. Passenger side doesn't have the post but does have the grommet in the mat.

hey ben...muahahaha..they seem to be almost perfect. i've had them in for a day, AND it's been wet and icky and raining, which is usually the worst time, and they are doing great...fit pretty darn good too!!!! i'm going to buy some as soon as i get some cash. make sure you get an EX or an Si set because my friends DX isn't 'notched' to clear the dead pedal.

I had my custom fitted at the local auto upholstery place. Was pretty cheap too. They have sheets of that stuff with the nipples already applied. They just have to cut them to fit and edge em. Looks pretty good too...

since nobody else mentioned them...i might as well. they make floor mats with little silver plates that say "Type R" (attached by little rivets).
