The "power folding mirrors" aren't really what a lot of people seem to think they are. They are really power, folding mirrors. Meaning they are power, and they can be folded in. But not power folding. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif

Hey, i got a hold of some JDM One piece Integra Headlights and some Power Folding Mirros. I have seen them both put on the 88-91 Civic. I want to know if anyone has seen this done, i have seen it once, but now i cant find it again. The headlights look nice, and i am going to wire the mirrors to my alarm so when i activate the alarm, they fold in automatically. But i want to know abotuthe radiator supports for the lights and if i can actually do that.
Also i have seen some tail light conversions, like from a prelude or something. Are there any other choices? is the Prelude converion expensive? does anyone know how much that even costs? please advise! Thanks!

No, you are wrong, they are actually PWER FOLDING, ont the button, it has a folding push button, and i have seen it on my friends car. I will show you a picture of the switch next time i see him. But trust me, they are POWER MIRRORS and POWER FOLDING! They are quite cool!

yeah the power folding for the 4th gens are so rare, see them on ebay but they always go for over 300.

There was no such thing as power folding mirrors for the 4G Civic/2G CRX. Only power mirrors that fold. Anything else is off another Honda and has been modified to fit. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

No the ef9 came with them but only as a dealer option, but you can tell when you compare the two together, maybe in aussie they don't have it. Ask jdmhondaparts, they had it on the crx.

Not according to my sources they didn't. Then again, I guess a Honda mechanic who worked in Japan for a spell doesn't count. All SiRs came with folding mirrors that were motorised, but without an electric mechanism to fold them. The two sites I know of, one of them Honda Japan, don't list it as an option - only the leather steering wheel and ABS/LSD. Still, what would I know? BTW - my SiR is JDM - it's an import. Our ED 4Gs didn't have folding mirrors.

Well this is all from what i have been told so maybe my sources are wrong. Yeah it's nothing worth fighting over. But just take a look at the difference in switches, and how similar the ef9 one looks to yours except for the addition of the folding button, and that the da6 one has a more rounded switch.

Yeah - that's why I doubt it was an option... based on the switch. If you look at the EG's mirror switch, it's the same as mine... in fact my brother's ITR had the same style as mine would you believe (although our ITR's are only about 90% the same as the JDM... rear suspension and the nose cone).
Still, if it works it works - if I wasn't sticking to the factory look and had a GL with non-power mirrors I'd want those http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Oh, yea, you are right, my bad, its actually off of an integra, and the only mod is the holes. But the body align's perfectly. Its a great mod that i recomend to anyone that wants JDM points at their next meet!
