anyone have links to some good 4 door sites? i'm seriously considering picking up a 4 door for my daily driver...no mods (okay, maybe some rims and coilovers).
i'm just not sure what year or model i want yet. if it were a hatch...i'd already know i wanted an '89 Si http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif i'm also curious to see what people are "doing" to their 4 doors these days.

I don't really know any other sites except the ones that were mentioned. Right now I am completing my b16 swap, swapping out my coilovers for lowering springs, and getting new tires. OK..let's see here - this one is for the Yahoo Groups 4th gen 4-door 'club' - not too bad...lots of young kids wanting to know about 4-door Altezza's and stuff, but a few have tinkered with motor swaps and lot of them have lowered their rides. http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/fourthgenerationfourdoor

From what I have heard the 90s are your best bet. not shure of any spasifics (please excuse spelling) the lx offers power stearing, windows, mirors. I know that the 90-91 have a tach in the panel for the lx, im not shure about the dx or the 88-89.
there is not much on the web about 4 doors.

What I've found out about Civic Sedans:
EX is a D16A6 Si Engine, but auto configuration. Only made in 90-91. It has larger front brakes and a larger master cylinder (comaprable to the integra - same specs) than the other models - LX and DX.
All Sedans come with rear drums. However if you were to upgrade - the rear discs off an Integra and their E-Brake lines are the exact length - so it's a swap-over, jsut make sure to reuse your Civic upper, lower and front compensator arms on teh trailing arm swap.
LX and DX are both D15B2 Hatch DX engines. The only MPFI is the EX Sedan 90-91.
From what I've seen the EX Sedan comes in White - Black, Maroon - Maroon, Metallic Blue - Blue, and Black - Black or Grey - not sure.
I've seen some 90-91 models LX come with Tach's....however any 90-91 model Civic or CRX have swappable instrument cluster that plug-in...the wiring is already there.
The EX Sedan is not available in Canada - they never got one.
All Sedans had more options, and I think these were with power locks and power windows like an accord. Power Steering came on all of them as far as I know, and I could be wrong about that. Not sure about rear wipers.
EX Model like the Civic and CRX Si had 14" Tires and a stock 195 profile which is about an inch larger in rolling diameter then the DX and LX D15B2 models which came with 185-70R13s
JDM Models came with the DOHC ZC and the SOHC ZC. And the interiors on them were really really nice, not like stateside.
Weigh of the Sedan is about 2350 if I had to estimate it. The ZC Swap into one of these didn't do much of jack from a guy that lived two apartments over in NC. I think a B18 would have been more appropriate.

Here is my personal list about sedans: (not to pick a fight but since I own one I notice these things.)
EX sedan - d16a6, power locks/windows/steering, nice seats, moonroof, auto tranny, A/C. I personally have never seen a 5-speed EX, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. 14" steelies with covers.
LX sedan - d15b2 motor - power locks/windows/steering. A/C an option. Autos and 5-speeds avail. Nicer seats than a DX but not much. Generally darker colored, slightly more plush interiors - Painted bumpers - 13" steel wheels with covers
DX sedan - d15b2, power steering optional (i don't have it) A/C optional (I do have that http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif), manual locks/windows. Auto and 5-speeds. 13" steel with covers. Black plastic bumpers. '90-91 models got rear headrests to spruce up the interior.
The weight reported by NC_Rex sounds about right for a sedan. 91zc says the sedan weighs about the same as an Si hatch and I'll buy that, but it may be a little less. The sticker on my car says the max Gross weight for the car is 3250 (with peeps in it), so with 5 passengers (x 200lbs????) the car itself might be a little less, like 2300 or so.
I would say that my seats are probably the same as the seats in a DX hatch tho...The interior isn't all that much "nicer". My seats are cloth on the sitting part, but the back and sides are plastic (vinyl) and the headliner is plastic too.
The stock tires on the DX/LX sedans are 175/70/13s. I think 185/60/14 on the EX.
I WISH my sedan had come with a DOHC ZC stock (damn JDM cars!!! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif - and I suspect that the 130HP will help my 1/4 mile time about the same as 91zc's - My only run at the track with the stock d15b2 motor was 18.078.

moonroof? not to say i don't believe you..i have never seen one. i would love to find one with a moonroof (my Si has spoiled me)
and i have been watching autotrader.com and others lately. i have seen a couple of 5 speed LX's and EX's. i don't know if they came stock that way or were converted. living in the snow, i perfer the 5 speed (stupid auto's always getting stuck http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif )

my friend has a beater 4 door...a6 engine, moonroof (just like my hatch Si), nicely appointed interior with a tach, 14" steelies with covers and a 5 speed. it is the light blue color that come on DX hatches, and it has a nuetral gray interior. i don't know what the trim was, but it looks like it used to have an 'EX' badge on it. it was fairly quick too. spanked my 91 SI..but then again, i have an SI with a d15 swap..haha.

I own a 91 ex with a munal 5speed trany and it is very fast! It does have a tweaked version of the american si engine. I was actualy wondering if any one might know whos red 4dr this is.

Hey Adam, how do the Integra seats fit? I know Eric had a hard time getting Integra seats in his hatch....did you swap the rails over from the Civic seats?

Yeah...I am with you dude...I just want my DX black (faded to grey) stock bumpers painted to match the car and some 5-spoke Integra 15" rims or '99-00 15" Si rims and I will be pretty happy. I do like the nice subtle spoiler on it.

I love to finaly see all the 4dr civic owners to come out from within the shadows. I am a website designer so if enuff people send me an email or post something saying its a good Idea. I would love to do it. But Id need alot of good mods for the 4dr and people with good pictures. Id even get serious and buy a domain. Tell me what yall think!!!
