I thought I'd introduce myself to those of you that don't already know me from the Yahoo 4g club.
My name is Russ & I live in Grand Forks, ND.
I drive a '90 h/b DX that will soon have a new "heart" in the form of a B16. (Ami - I haven't got my hood yet :-( ).
The site looks great Eric (& Ami, and everyone else :-). I think I'll be spending a lot of time here!

Well i sorta introduced myself once, but what the heck i love ranting!
My name is Chris, I live out in western PA. I'm a huge autocross person, if you are thinking about autocrossing you Civic and you wanna ask me by all means do i love helping fellow civics out!
I use to drive a 88 DX for almost 2 years. I loved that car it never let me down. But this last fall the little car probaly saved my life when i collided with a 86 chevy stakebed truck. I quickly contacted my on friend at his shop to see what to do. He said he could get a another civic which he though was a DX for 500 bucks. I got a call 2 days after my wreck saying that the car was not a DX but a Black Si and still 500 bucks! So he helped me get the car cleaned up and running like it should. We switch the parts from one car to the other. In exchange i gave him my wrecked DX which he wanted to turn into a ITC roadracing car. To date my Si is getting faster and handling better everyday. And the DX is fixed and is probaly going to become one hellish little civic when its done!

I drive a 1990 Honda Civic SI
and live in Sunny Southern California
Ive been a fan of the Honda line ever since i started drivin and cared about cars. I have had nothin but love for these cars.
My First Car: '86 CRX Dx (Blew Timing Belt)
Second Car: '85 Accord Lx (Wanted a HB)
Third Car: '90 Civic HB DX (Wanted a SI)
And my current Car '90 CIVIC Si
And as time goes by I will always love these cars, I dont think I would buy another car but Honda...but thats just me :/

Heh, I might as well join the bandwagon. I'm Pete from Sydney and I drive a '90 SiR. It's currently in prep for Motokhanas and Supersprints - but sorting the suspension is pure hell as I have to mix and match to meet the Si-R spec parts.
To date I've owned around about 12 Civics, from Standard, RS, Turbocharged and Twin carb '70s 1200s, a 1980 'S' Civic, an AT ('85) plus an '88 GL (1500 twin carb) and the SiR.
Between these I've owned and modified A few '70s Celicas (1 running a 3TGTE turbo'd 1800 with 280bhp @ the wheels @ 14 pounds boost) a Holden Statesman V8 (POS - I learnt to hate V8s with this car) plus a Mitsubishi Scorpion with a 2.6l 4cyl Astron Turbo'd with a draw-through SU carb).
For some reason I kept going back to the Civics though http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif Mind you, the SiR is the first one that I don't want to modify - the turbo cars were quicker, but unstable (exept for the celica) and very tempramental. I like the VTEC rush and the fact that in Group E (standard trim) it owns every other car in the under 1600 category including the later (heavier) Civics http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
BTW Ami, I'll be taking some proper pics of the SiR this weekend - I'll forward them and the data on to you.

Setanta thats cool you had a older celica (if i couldn't drive a Civic i'd go out and buy a AE86 corolla GTS right now). When you said "Group E" is that road racing? I'd love to see some pics if you have any.

Well, my name is Jay. I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I got an 89 dx with full JDM exterior including EF9 rear lip (except tail lights, they're coming) I got a Zc with SI tranni going in in a couple weeks.(all the usual mods I/H/E cam gear plugs and wires, also got a v force piggyback)The car is B47M blue. It's really nice to see a 4g H/B sight for once.

Hey, well my name is Bram (not a very common name in the US I guess http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif )and I'm a 21 year old student from Holland, Europe.
My first car was a '88 1.3 HB, man that car was slow as hell 1.3L single carburetor 75hp, but I really loved that car. It was my first car and I always wanted a 4th G, in those days I didn't care that it was slow I was just so happy I finally had a 4th G civic. But...after about a year of happy driving some piece of shit decided to steel my car http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/mad.gif and the worst part, it wasn't insured. So after a shitty working and loaning time I bought my current ride, a '90 1.5i GL (your DX) still not the fastest but a huge difference compared to the old 1.3. I've been driving it for about a year now, great car it has never let me down, but I'm starting to miss the speed. So.. another six months in school...working... and then I'm going for the 150hp 1.6iVT http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
