I got the lastest issue of Sport Compact Car. In it is a write up on the losers who go to Youngstown Ohio for the "J-Body meet" you know, cavaliers and sunbirds http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif well....some LOSER has a 96 cavalier, NOS and some crappy hood...and in the pic they show of the interior you can see, plain as day, a "Powered by Honda" seat belt pad!!!!!!!! LOL!

lol, you guys laught. I had a kid on my road he was actually inspired by the movie "The F&F". He went out, bought a cavalier Z24 (late 90's model), AUTO, was black with big flames up the side, japanese lettering and R logos all over...and like a 20 or 50 shot of nitrous (yes he told everyone NOSSSS). He would pull off 70+ mph flybys of my house all the time (not a good road to even go 40 on too many blind spots). Well after many months of flooring it everywhere he went, he used the Nos while doin a burnout and shifting from D1, to D2, then into DRIVE...the motor said screw this, the head ate a few valves then shot the exhaust manifold off from what i was told lol. Its in a junkyard now...where it should be hehe. Suppose to be gettin repaired...but i don't ever see it happening.

Speaking of putting R logos on domestics..About a month ago I was driving around and saw this mustang, lucky me i happen to pull up behind him at a light. Taking a closer look at the car, I see he has a cobra badge on there(not sure if it was a real cobra or not), But under the cobra badge he had one of those GT-R badges you can buy at GI-Joes, or somewhere like that. Needless to say, I proceeded to laugh my ass off at the idiot..I really hope it wasnt a real cobra, cause that would be a shame to do that to a pretty nice car.

me and my fiend thot about putting a gt-r badge on his 93 ex coupve to see if ne one realized the diff from a nissan or honda but we figured too many ppl in this area r dumbass and would ask to many qwestions...oh well we thot it would be funny at the time ...kinda glad we nixt the idea tho...if some moron put a gt-r badge on a mustang along with a cbra one i guarantee it isnt a real cobra.

i remeber one night not too long ago driving down del ave from were we raced and seen an early 90s stang with the GT-R on the side of the car like where the skyline would have them at i almost sat there for a light laughing at the guy after seeing that that made my night juct couldnt get it of my mind and he is probly one of them freeks that talks shit about how imports shouldnt be made fast

i too agree with SiR kid. but on to my next point...i think some of you guys understimate the potential of those Jbodies....i know ALOT of guys runnin low 14's with just bolt ons...bolt ons....that's a 5 speed of course, but those cars can lay down some serious numbers. especially the later model ones. i've been spanked by a many of them...most of them i've seen aren't posers. that's kinda sad considering how outdated the Quad4 design is....have you guys seen the latest 4 cyl engines GM/Opel is developing? they're pretty impressive.

I don't have a problem with J-bodies unless its a situation like I mentioned earlier...we can all understand that. SiR kid hit it on the nose. Hell I was a work today and saw a nicly riced out V6 stang (SN95 I think is what the style is called, like mid 90's).
And gotatight92si, yes j-bodies will move when provoked. Hell there is a guy I auto-x with...new Z24 cav...stock...good street tires, and he can woop the hell outta most cars (very close to my civic most times...and ahead on the right occations). So I do keep my eye open and give respect for domestics where is due. If my friend neonmike visits this thread also...he can tell you several things about j-bodies he's had some bad experiences with some the owners.
P.S. - SiRkid, your stang is pretty damn clean actaully, I don't really see the different wheels even being that big of a deal the rest of the car seems pretty shiny. I could show you some bad looking Fox body stangs trust me http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif Yours seems far from bad thankfully.
