Woooohooooo! Super Bowl Baby!!!
Go Seahawks!!!
Congrats, It's been a looooong wait!
Now only if the Canucks can make it all the way this year!
It's a fun time, ain't it Dan??? I'm still on a "high" from the Sox, and I still throw on my DVD and get chills.
Congratulations, Dan.
I saw the highlights from the Championship games tonight. I think you had the easier game. Panthers running game (what was left of it) was ineffective, so all you had to do was cover Smith. Not taking anything away from the 'Hawks though, Alexander is in a class of his own. I hope they don't rely on him too much in Detroit, and become one-dimensional.
The Steelers will be a whole new ball game though, lol. Though I hate to say it (cos Raggz is probably lurking somewhere!) but I like the look of Pittsburgh.
They won't rely on Alexander too much. Remember that Hasselbeck is heading to the pro bowl too.
3500 yds, 24 tds, 9 ints, and a 98.2 passer rating. What they do a lot, is come out firing because everybody expects it to go to Alexander, and run it behind the other 3 pro bowlers to the left. (Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, and FB Mack Strong) Then once that is established the defense gets out of the box, and Alexander starts rollin'. After awhile, we just wear defenses out. It'll be a good game though. I've seen Pittsburgh many times this year. Big Ben is a smart qb. We'll have to control the running game, and hopefully make Pitt one dimensional.
If we start out hot, and get a lead, that would bode well for the rest of the game. BTW, I think the Seahwks D is underrated as well. We led the league with 50 sacks, yet not one guy from our D is going to the pro bowl. I can't wait!
congrats Dan!!!...i'm pulling for the Hawks!!!....somewhere Jim Zorn is smiling!! LOL

Big Ben to drive The Bus all the way home! 27-17 Steelers.
Let the trash-talking begin.
I hate football, and I don't know shit about it. But come Superbowl Sunday I will be sitting on my couch with a few beers, some pizza, my wife and kids, and some friends, and I will be forcing everybody in the damn house to be pulling for the Hawks! I don't know anything about football, but I know Dan (in a creepy cyber way...), so they become my team!
<font size="4" face="Arial">Hell, I live in Illinois and I have a friggin' neighbor with one of those damned inflatable players, but his is for the Packers. Ugh. I keep loading my BB gun planning to take it out, but Kristy keeps telling me "no".Quote:

Go Hawks! (though i like their old uniforms better)[/QB]
I like the Yankees mentality.
I agree with Bill about the Seahawks uniforms. What was wrong with the blue? Battleship grey is dull and boring. I did hear it rained about six months non-stop up there though.
Shit, Noah was planning on retiring in Seattle, but it rains too much for him to go there.
<font size="4" face="Arial">that's creepy! =)Quote:

i wish people would stop thinking that 'here' is steeler country just because we are in pennsylvania. we are 6 HOURS AWAY from pittsburgh! this is not steeler country so take down those god awful 8 foot inflatable football players from your front yards and stop wearing those 80's throw back striped steeler jackets. for THAT i hate the steelers. (i hate the eagles too but thats due to the loud mouth fans around here more then the team)

Thanks to those who will be rooting for the Hawks. You'll get to see how good this team really is. Even if the entire rest of the country is picking the Steelers. I think that is good for the Hawks. Everyone was picking Carolina too. holmgren and the Seahawks have been thriving on the lack of respect all year, and it keeps working. Even after winning 11 in a row, no national media was on the story. Besides the Green Bay game (when they benched all the starters for the entire 2nd half), the Seahawks have won 13 in a row. I still can't believe that they are underdogs, but that should get them fired up. If they don't turn the ball over, I think we'll win by 10. If we turn it over a few times, it'll be close. I'll go 31-20, Seahawks.
