I recently played the reign of Apoc game for the GBA, pretty straight forward and neat. Nightcrawler does show up in the game as one of your opponents. He is on level 7 about midway through. The final boss is Psylocke.
If you have a Gameshark and know how to use the codes then you can use it to play Nightcrawler.
Play As Nightercrawler After the game loads, Turn the GS switch to OFF position, and turn it back ON once your in the actual level and turn the switch OFF again. 94AACC2DFCE41B82
If anybody knows an unlock all code that would be cool. If you have two GBAs then you can play head to head in a vs mode. I haven't seen this in action yet.

BAMFCENTRAL i'm going to buy a GBA just because of this post! How are the graphics though? I havent really seen too much of the games for the GBA...are the graphics and gameplay that much better than the GAMEBOY color?
Oh, and speaking of games with Nightcrawler in 'em I have a question about MUTANT ACADEMY 2. I'm not sure if this has happened with anyone else, but on two seperate occasions playing with Nightcrawler the character actually went completelyINVISIBLE for while! I was still able to attack my opponent, but all you could see were the impact graphics. Both times Kurt eventually became visible before the match was over, but it's left me wondering if this is a hidden power for Nighty in the game or just a glitch that happens with all of the characters ?
If its actually a hidden power for Nightcrawler, (wich would be supremely cool) could someone PUH-LEEZE tell me how the heck to do it at will?
BAMF!

I will post some examples of the pics for you if you like, later next week. But remember Kurt isn't available to play in the game, without using a gameshark. The 4 playable ones are Wolv {now there's a shocker}, Rogue, Storm, and Cyc.
I haven't heard about the possiblity of NC having an invisibility power in MA 2, could be a fluke, but it would be cool.

I've been kinda asking around BC and no one seems to be aware of Nightcrawler having a hidden "invisibility power" in the game. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/frown.gif
Probably just a game glitch even though I was hoping it was another ability! I've been playing MA2 a lot lately and havent been able to get him to do it again. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/mad.gif
Looks like i'm going to have to invest in a game shark too.
Lets see...to date that would make it 6 video games (I think) where you are able to use Nightcrawler as a playable character!
1.) That old SNES X-Men game with the horrible graphics. (I forget the name)
2.) The cool KONAMI arcade game that came out not to long after the "Pryde of the X-Men" pilot aired.
3.) The 1st X-MEN game for the SEGA GENESIS. (I was crazy about that game!)
4.) The awesome sequel to that game for the GENESIS...X-MEN2: CLONE WARS.
5.) X-MEN: MUTANT ACADEMY2 for the PS1. ( http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif )
6.) Aaaand when using the Game Shark and appropriate code you can play as the Fuzzy Elf in the GBA's Reign of Apocalypse!
Did I miss anything?

I think you got everything except for two PC games...both made by Microprose.
X-Men: Madness in Murderworld - where you switch off between Nightcrawler, Colossus, Cyclops, Storm, Dazzler, and Wolverine in a puzzle/action game. Not a bad game, and some clever puzzles...but the animation is horribly simple by today's standards (two frame movement and what-not). I think it was made in 1989 or 1990.
X-Men II: Fall of the Mutants - You chose a team of 5 mutants out of 15 (even more if you got the expansion pack CD), then went through levels fighting grunts and Freedom Force. At the end, you fought the Adversary to rescue Storm and Forge. Again, somewhat simple, but the graphics were better than the first one (although the characters were smaller). You could basically choose from the X-Men that were around at that time (Wolverine, Colossus, Havok, Dazzler, Longshot, Rogue, Psylocke), the few missing mutants that would eventually form Excalibur (Nightcrawler, Phoenix II, and Shadowcat), and X-Factor (Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Iceman, Beast, and Archangel). With the expansion CD, quite a few more heroes and villains were added, and you could create your own scenarios. Among the characters that were added: Captain Britain, Meggan, Banshee, Storm, the Hellfire Club, Magneto, and Nimrod. You could then copy the scenarios to a disk and give them to your friends to play through. Extremely cool for the time (1991, IIRC).
Hmmmm...I might have to try to dig those out...I haven't played them in years...

They'll both be pre-CD (floppies) won't they? Could I put them up on the nightcrawler.info website for public download? Micropose, that's an old name. I used to have a Grand Prix game by them on a 486 laptop a couple of years ago. Had some kind of code you had to pick off a cardboard sheet whenever you ran the program. I hope you have a scanner http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

On the subject of MA2. I FINALLY got to play it and I have to say...
Nightcrawler has the COOLEST throw I have ever seen in a videogame!
For those of you not familiar with it, he pushes his opponent, then quickly teleports so that he is bending down behind them, so that the opponent trips over him!! It's like what you used to do to kids at school with your best friend!!

Spiderman is l33t.
But The elf is ?ber-l33t!!

I used to have that game. My very first X-Men experience! I still have the manual around here somewhere. It was the little profile for Nighty (taken straight from the Marvel Handbook) that originally got me interested in the character. I never did finish it.

Wow, it looks like Nightcrawler has been in waaaay more games than i'd originally thought!

HSU in MA2 Nightcrawler has another throw that is just as cool if not cooler than that one! For use of a better name for it i'll call it the "tail slam".
Get close to your opponent, push away from them and grab them for a throw at the same time. Trust me, this throw has to be seen to be believed!

Keep in mind the pics aren't too great I had to covert to gifs to post on web, but colors are more vivid and brighter in the game itself.
