The changes made to Ultimate Kurt and the re-appearence of his wall-crawling, flexibility, and the actual USE of his tail in Uncanny has me thinking about the furter developement of Kurt's teleportation power.
Now it seems to me that just before the Mutant Masacre, Kurt had his porting power really down. Then he got injured and it's never been quite the same. I sumbit that he needs to gain better use of it again.
I'd like to see more comfort with short, solo ports. He should be able to teleport himself short distances dozens of times with no problem. None of this passing-out-from-exhaustion-crap unless he teleports several miles or has a bunch of passengers.
I'd also like to see a better degree of control over the field of his power. Like if you chained him to the wall, he could port out of the chains or take them with him if he wants. This could be really useful, and IMHO, not too much to ask.
(It could be a really cool gag if he could grab someone's pants and teleport them off)

LOL, yeah zhat would be funny

That's the beauty of a teleportational pants-stealing! You can make an escape as you commit the act.
I don't actually know what the limits of his powers are right now as far as control goes.
I've never seen him teleport AFTER he's been grabbed by an opponent, so I assume he can't control it that well.

Ditto about wanting Kurt to have a greater degree of control GARBS!
There are some post-Mutant Massacre examples of him improving though.
* In an early ish of Excalibur, not too long after the MM, he ported out of some chains...
* He ported a bunch of X-Men over to Alcatraz during the whole search for Xavier storyline...
* In that recent X-Men annual he ported with Nick Fury AND a portion of the RED SKULL's hand...
* That cool 'teleporting upwards' thing he did with Gambit in tow while they were fighting Cerebro....
* Oh yeah and that kick a@@ ish of X-51: Machine Man where he ports in, redirects X-51's force blast, and then ports away with a BIG chunk of the sentient robots' arm!
I agree that he's not where he SHOULD be considering his training and experience, but he is improving. We need an X-Writer (hint, hint CASEY) to really explore this!

(ROTFLMAO, I can't believe i missed my own wild rampage and capture!)
Um, thanks guys, I feel much better now. Honest... I don't know what came over me.
Normally there are certain requirements for picking out a pantsing victum.
People who need to be pantsed usually take them selves too seriously, think a bit too highly of themselves, or let their inhibitions get the better of them too often.
Examples:
Logan, Warren and Scott could definately use a pantsing.
Remy, Ororro, and Peter(RIP) might need the ocational pantsing from time to time.
Hank, Bobby, and Kurt are only to be pantsed in retaliation of a previous pantsing.

With Pansting Power comes great Pantsing Responsibility.

I always thought this would be possible. Like in Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, it would be a great way of breaking the ice at parties...

Yeah, I recall in Uncanny X-Men 170 Kurt Teleported out of some chains to rescue Kitty.
PS This issue really gives Kurt a role almost like a leader. (When he confronts Callisto, for those who haven't read it.)

"Oh, it's *you* again. What is this fixation you have for tails? Leggo the tail!"

Sorry I don't read the comics but I heard on someplace I think Banf central that in Age Of Apocolipse that Kurt could port the bad guy's head right off just by looking at it.

Yup! UNCANNY #'s 169 and 170.... the storyline that introduced the MORLOCKS! Really great stuff by CLAREMONT and PAUL SMITH!
Oh and THUNDERCAT AoA Kurt had to be in contact with AoA Deadpool when he ported his noggin off....wich is still pretty scary 'cause it makes you think about just how potentially dangerous Marvel Universe Nightcrawler is!
