Well Marvel has begun to feature a fan site of the month. This time it is to an Iron Man devoted page. Go check out Marvel.com for the exact address.
When November comes around, I wonder if they will feature a NIghtcrawler site? I am curious who else has registered with Marvel. Has anyone run into a registered fan site list page at Marvel?
no, and I'm not signed up yet. I just don't trust them. Have you had any experiences yet?

I have added a few comments about all this on my board.
Dont worry Elwing your site would more than pass as a site and they aren't out to get anyone. I do suggest that you register.
I have actually registered, mailed off the app last week. And just a few days ago I recieved notification that my site was approved. I was even able to check out the digital library. It is about what I expected. But it is growing and the pieces of art I saw were fairly nice. But we are not limited to what is in the library, so sites should remain fairly unique.

In don't trust them, BC. And I don't like them. And just getting hits isn't that important to me. Joining them feels like selling out. But maybe I will anyway later on.

Personally, I don't like the Marvel guys looking at my site (and how I have criticized some X-men evolution episodes). Kinda bugs me

Rex - I dont think they will do much of any thing to discourage non-authorized fan-sites, but I could be wrong.
Arcade - They wont judge you or think ill just because you critized some episodes of Evolution. It wouldn't affect their acceptance of you. Freedom of speech and all, they aren't looking for a bunch of 'yes men'
Bamfcentral, were exactly did you find the info that put you at ease? I'm sure it would help a lot. I can see were all the tension is building up, and eventhough I don't have a site of my own, it really worries me to see so many of you stressed out over this.

Isn't that Xfan the worst bootlicker ever? still, things seem to be relatively safe. But I'm still biding my time.

Well I wouldn't say that, X-Fan is just not falling into all the paranoia that others seem too. Mostly, due to the fact, all his info he is getting straight from Marvel employees and therefore he realizes what Marvel is doing. Dont forget, X-Fan is still simply one of us. He has just been fortunate enough to be get information/images/etc that most of us dream about. Read all of X-Fan's reviews, there are quite a few that are not complimentary towards the X-books.

Not to mention they actually accepted mine with no fuss, so I know their are a ton of websites that will also qualify. While some issues probably need to be cleared up, I believe most of the info is out there. I only wish marvel had been able to get their message board back up so that everyone could all the info straight from the horses mouth so to speak.
If I can find some more links I will post them.
Read through the X-Fan messageboard link carefully. You will see people who have the same concerns as you and then some, but read what X-Fan and Mertle say carefully. This is not an attack by Marvel.
