I got a chance to look at my Wizard #121. And I was in for a treat, they showed {in costume} the new mutants coming to the show.
Once I get a chance tonight I will scan and post the images, for those interested.
The only let down, for me was that the article wasn't big enough I wanted more. But that is probably the point to keep the market hungry for info. Saturation kills.
Anyway, the new Marvel :Evolution site will hopefully be up around the time the show premieres and more behind the scene sketchs and developments should be revealed. They removed the link to the Marvel : Evolution site from the main page, but if you remember the address you can still get to it. I took it as a sign that the info there was old and they were preping some new stuff.

Kewl, BAMFCentral! Thanx. Please do post those images! I know a couple of people (including my lil' bro) who'd love to see the pic.

I think 4 pages on the Evolution was pretty adequate, but of course, there is always room for more. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif And howzabout that 'Top 100 cartoons of all time' list? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

"The idea of Tricky was: to use a word that was not usually used to describe ideas, objects & situations. For example ..."That was really tricky" or "This is a tricky bar" or "That is a really tricky hat" Instead of saying cool or smart we say tricky. And so Tricky Disco was born. And we made a tricky video."

**4 pages on the Evolution was pretty adequate**
**And howzabout that 'Top 100 cartoons of all time' list?**
Huh?! Where?!

I haven't bought Wizard in a long time. But since I know the guy that runs the comic shop I usually look at his copy.
It's hard to get too excited by the pics because they're all wearing the same costume (the one worn by Spyke) It was neat to see Bobby all iced up.
As for the top 100 list, it was okay. I felt they gave too much credit to newer cartoons.
I like the PowerPuff Girls, but it shouldn't have beaten as many older cartoons as it did.
(Only cartoon I can think of that didn't make the list that I think should have: Duckman.)

Yeah, but I am a bit of an animation nut, so I wanted more. I guess I will just have to wait.
I liked the 100 top toon list, not sure I exactly agree with it, but cool none the less.

(*basking in self shame and stupidity*) Never mind me!! I was in a rush, confused it with another thread, and got completely thrown off. (just me pulling my typical crazed stunts)

Those pics are nice! (Cute and kiddie-sort too). You rule, Thank you!!

Wow, those new characters look great. I'm so glad the New Mutants are coming back in a way (I didn't like the changes made to them in Xforce)
Hey BC is it okay if I post this link at another board?

My kids inform me (yep, I've got kids)that XMen: Evolution is going to be on Cartoon Network Friday 7:30 (EDT? PDT? Not sure, sorry!)
---Has anyone heard this? I have to check to make sure it's Evolution. Might be the other cartoon.
BTW, have any of you seen the long ago single cartoon XMEN: Pryde of the XMen? I wish that version had been picked up and produced as a regular series (in spite of the Aussie accent they gave Wolvie), as it featured Nightcrawler.

Can't really say, some shows have longevity there, depends on the deal that was struck. Not all shows stay, I remember they ran Battle of the Planets a few summers ago, but it hasn't aired again that I am aware of.

Update here on one of the new members (Wolfsbane). I remember someone said something about wanting a Kurt/Rahne match-up, but I can't find the exact thread, so hope this does the trick and is informative:
http://www.comicscontinuum.com:8080/...9/05/index.htm
-
I considered that pairing before but this Wolfsbane is something else. That smirk! That hair! Oh yuck. I already find myself disliking her, even knowing that the kids will only be dating "outside the family".

Rhane!?! That's Rhane? Wow. Yeah, I guess it is good that the X-90210 (just kidding!) kids are "dating outside of the family". Still, I think it could be interesting if they paired Rhane and Kurt up, considering the variations on their respective characters in the Evo-verse. (Spookyspice dodges empty ice-cream bowls. Hands out chocolate truffles for making such a silly statement in a gesture of atonement.) Or better yet, have a cute mutant nemesis that hangs out with Mystique and co. that catches one of the X-boys' eye. (Kurt! I want him to get a girlfriend!) Come on! There's got to be a "bad girl", now that Rogue is with the X-Men.
Anybody?

Sorry, but that hair is unforgivable.
A "bad girl" pairing? I don't know... but Rahne looks pretty bad to me! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/tongue.gif

The hair is pretty bad, Fasheem! Oh, I don't know. I just like the idea of having a "bad girl" character around. When I was a kid, and I watched Jem And The Holograms (might have been before your time), I always liked the "bad girl" characters, Jem And The Holograms' nemeses, (is that even a word? plural for nemesis) The Misfits. They were the "bad girl" band. They were punky and tough and had cool clothes. I wanted to be in The Misfits when I grew up. Either that, or Cheetara from Thundercats.

I can remember watching Jem and the Holograms when I was a kid. The Misfits never really interested me. Maybe I'm just a good girl at heart. When I was little, I always wanted to be a princess when I grew up. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/redface.gif
But I can remember feeling a certain attraction for the bad boy on that show. Ha! I can't even remember his name... damn! So that's where my fascination for gloomy, long-haired (male) singers comes from! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif

Sure have. POTX-M (Pryde of the X-men) has become my favorite movie. I love everything about it, including the campy narrations!
(Welcome, this is Stan Lee of Marvel Comics waring you to look around you...your parents, your friends, anyone of them may be...a mutant!!)

Awwwww! Fasheem is a good girl at heart. I forget the bad boy's name, too. Yes, those long-haired, brooding guys have their appeal, no doubt! There was one girl in The Misfits that was always a little sad that she was a bad girl. I liked her. But the green-haired singer was just so cool to me. I was like, this is what I want to be when I grow up. A tough punk chick with weird hair. LOL And what's wrong with being a princess? Nothing, that's what.
I have never seen Pryde Of The X-Men. (I know, where have I been?) It sounds good. Anybody know where I might be able to find a copy? A link you could post? An on-line store? Any info would be appreciated.

Thinks long and hard.
Okay, since I watched Jem myself, and I wanted to be Jem btw, the guy's name was Romeo.

Do a search on ebay.com or on amazon.com; the title is currently out of print so these are your best bets.

About PotXM.
I know there are illegal copies of that for sale, but I also believe there might be some legal tapes.
Another way to see the show is to illegaly download it. I don't know what illegal people do http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif but I assume they for example might use file sharing programs (e. g. Morpheus), but that's just reflections of legal little me...
-
Found something I never seen before on Yahoo! Auctions
But on PotXM, found these on eBay:
eBay 1
eBay 2
eBay 3

Alright! Wait... file sharing? Doesn't that sort of imply that you need some files to begin with? Or else it isn't sharing. How does that work, anyway? (Someone tell me I have the basic idea totally wrong, please.)
------------------
"Let's just file it under U for uncanny and move on."

You may, if you so wish, share a few files your self - but it's not necessary.
But you have to remember to only share files you yourself have created or have permission to share... Of course, one or two of the hundreds of thousands sharers that are sharing illegal stuff. Not me though. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
I have found Morpheus to work quite well.
Download Morpheus 1.3
Morpheus home site
Or you can download KaZaA 1.3.3
KaZaA home site

Do any of those law-breakers over at Morpheus have plans to make files of Season 2 of X-Men: Evolution? 'Cause, I'd been expecting to have WB included in the cable package on the basis that, if it's in the motel, it's everywhere. Guess what. Nuh uh. Despite having the most expensive cable hook-up in the town (a "gift" from the realtor)... no WB. No X-Men.
We need the other cable. And we won't be getting it for at least another three months (when the "gift" runs out.) Needless to say, I'm very upset right now.

Thank you so much, Gnahrf! I'm entering a bid on POTXM as soon as my registration on e-bay is accepted. That was very helpful. Danke.

Thanks, MoonbeamDancer! My memory isn't what it used to be! But I do remember a bit of the theme song... Jem was a great cartoon, wasn't it? And Jem had that rad pink hair! (I've considered doing mine that light pink color, BTW) That's so cool that somebody else on this board had Jem-related aspirations growing up, too. (Even if I wanted to be the in The Misfits!)
Oh, no Fasheem! That sucks for sure. Maybe someone from the board could tape it for you. I know that I have a lot of tapes that I wouldn't mind recording over. Maybe something could be worked out if you'd be willing to cover the S&H. I know how psyched I've been for the new season of Evo, especially with all the sadness going on now. I've got Direct TV, and I still get WB. Let me know.

I've just placed a bid on POTXM. Thank you so much for the info, Gnahrf! I hope I'm not outbid. The person selling it is from New Jersey, not that far away from where I am in Brooklyn. So if I do successfully outbid the others, it shouldn't take to long for POTXM to get to me. Yay!

OK, I'm stupid. Say it with me now, "Fasheem is stupid." Go on. Say it. Say it damn you!
False alarm. I do, in fact, have the channel with X-Evo on it. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
*notes that the WB website still has the same character profiles with the same incorrect information*

Ebay addicting? Noooo! Absolutely not... I've been ebay-free for months now, but since these mentions of ebay I've bought five comic lots... (amalgam, crystar, uncanny origins...)
Addicting? Hell, yes! It's so easy. One click here, a little wait, a won bid, two clicks there and money has flown away from my account... The most dangerous part is the currency converting, it seems so little when it's in USD or, even better, GBP!
Well, that's the end of my ranting - I better get back to ebay... http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif there's an item I've searched on ebay since i found out of its existence.
