Ever had one of zhose moments where you're just sitting zhere, not doing anyting, zhen it happens. Something reminds you of Nightcrawler.
For instance, zhere I was minding my own biscuits when a Fruit-Roll-Ups commercial came on. Normally, zhis would not have bothered me, but zhey were coming up with zhese ideas for a new fruity product.
One little labcoat sporting lad walked up with his idea, which was:
"Furry Fruit-Roll-Ups"
Zhen he unfirled a square piece of fuzzy blue stuff.
And zhen I thought of Kurt, wandering around the X-mansion with zhis rectangular baldspot on his back cursing about zhose *@#$&% Fruit-Roll-Up people!
Well, zhat's my moment of insanity. What about zhe rest of you? http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

So does this mean that Kurt tastes like fruit? Mmmmm...blueberry elf...yummy!
I'm so elf-obsessed that I don't need reminding, but I fancy those intel pentium ads, witht the blue people. They not fuzzy, but they're kinda cute and quirky.

LOL!! There is some seriously funny stuff going on in this Forum tonight... http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif!
BAMF!

A month ago my little sister got a small, green turtle. For some reason she thinks he looks blue. So she goes and names him Blue.
I thought to myself, "You might as well call him Kurt."
That's when I knew I had to join this forum.

A few weeks ago I saw that movie with Jack Nicholson-"The Pledge"and his character stops at a gas station and in the background there was a sign that said 'Nightcrawlers'and for a couple of minutes I was thinking of Kurt.Pretty pathetic huh?Good movie BTW. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Got elf?

I saw that one! Of course it didn't bring thoughts of Kurt but a green Namek named Piccolo from DragonBallZ, I wonder why...?

That tail! Those fangs! That fur! I think I'm in love....No, wait, that's a furball.

Several years ago, my cousin was going to steal one of those "Nightcrawlers" signs for me. (I convinced her not too because I'm not one for theft.) So don't feel bad, Drags, you're not the only one!
My little Kurt figure is still in my car, so everytime I drive, Kurt's with me!
-
I thought I'd add this to the conversation: I want to name my son (when I have one) Gabriel Kurt and call him Kurt. Is that scarey or what?

Hmmmm...yup, scares me! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif
Seriously, I'm glad my friends and I aren't the only ones contemplating naming things after comic characters.
My S.O. rather likes the name Namor. I think not.

Yeah, I scare myself too, Slar!! Hey, it keeps life interesting.
I don't have a Nightkiddo; the Kurt I have in my car is the old Kurt figure (I got it off e-bay). I am hunting down a Nk though - he will NOT escape me! (Okay, I'm scaring myself again...)

It's OK, Jezie. No need to cry. We're all strange here. Check this out.
I weave tapestries of hockey players while I listen to Metallica. My Nightkiddo hangs off my loom and sings with me.
No, I'm not insane.

I thought of Kurt today. While I was at work, I told my Supervisor, "Danke! Danke!" It just blurted out of my mouth. Wow, the elf really gets to you (or at least to me!)
Jezie, you're not strange...and if you are, then we're right along with you!! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif

Awww, Jezie, it's o'tay. Robert Jordan you say? Sorry, Knighty, but I have to take this opportunity to plug my forum! I have a Wheel of Time forum on Hostboard! It's under books. Feel free to drop in! It's really small cuz nobody else seems to like RJ. *sniff* Mousey-Mouse has visited though, and I hope it grows to match the magnificent marvel of this mighty mutant Monument. Hehe...Stan Lee moment there, sorry.
Hey, watch it Fasheem, I'm goin' to a hockey game tonight! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif
Nighty does crawl his way into everyday life... I have a habit of speaking Spanish at odd times. It's a carryover from college when I did it to practice and cuz all my friends were in Spanish too and we could babble back and forth at each other. I always say "Que" instead of what. Well, the other day I caught a "Was" come out of my German-illiterate mouth. My friends stared at me like I'd grown another head, or a blue tail, and one said, "Hmmm, too much Nightcrawler last night, eh?"
Heheh, I'm a dork.

Hee hee. Just thinking about that Wheel of Time forum that's under fantasy... even though I once tried to read the series and found it incredibly slow and boring, sometimes I'll read the posts on that forum over Jezie's shoulder and laugh and laugh and laugh. I don't think that most of the people there have even read the books. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
I've been to hockey games before. I think I probably spent about 1/4 of the time in the stands and the rest wandering around, eating fries and talking.
But it's more exciting than baseball, I'll give you that. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif

Wheel of Time??! I'm there!
Fasheem your so funny, of course the people over at that other forum read the books! They just need exitment in their lives and decided to talk about their 'slutty days', http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif

As I went into the kitchen this morning, I noticed my Nightcrawler and Nightkiddo figures were standing up (not like I had left them last night). I ask my mom, "Have you been playing with my Kurts?" She said yes! Tee, hee! This afternoon, my brother came over, and we tried to shoot 'kiddo off the catapult, over the ring of fire. Alas, he just fell over. I guess he needs more training! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Oh yes, X-Men the movie. A time when people who have never read the comics can watch the movie and then claim to know as much as the next guy.

Catapult? Is that what that thing is that comes with the figure? (What?)
That darn Wal-Mart! They have the stupid talking Cyke, Wolvie, and Sabretooth and the Logan or Wolvie or Sabretooth motorcycles but none of the other ones! Even scarier: They just started selling X-Men: The Movie action figures. Now that's service. Wonder if they'll sell any... they won't have any competition, all the other stores in town sold out around December.

I just have the Nightcrawler covers figure. But, whenever I start drawing/doodling, I always draw Kurt! Even when I'm at school, my notes are covered in Nightcrawler related doodles! So, if you want weird,...though I can't beat the singing elf on the loom, though I do sing to Metallica when I'm drawing some times! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif BTW Elfears, what art classes did you take? I've taken Drawing, Methods and Concepts I and currently II; which are just the basics of 2d and 3d art, and I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for what to take next? I still have Drawing II to fulfill my prerequisites then I want to take all the computer art and animation classes. I'm hoping there's still Life Drawing on the schedule next semester as well. I'm not at an art college, but there are classes in painting, sculpture, etc. Any suggestions? From any of you art graduates! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif
-
Weird, Bamfette. I wonder if all art schools have classes called Methods and Concepts. The class the helped me the most (after all those evil drawing classes) was Life Drawing.
I've got a whole lot to say about classes that you should take if your school has 'em. Would you like me to e-mail you, or just put all my thoughts up here?
