This is before the outing of the line-ups though,so nothing on Kurt or the others,but I thought it was still interesting.
I cant stress enough at how glad I am Kurt is in Caseys hands istead of Morrison(no offense)He seems genuine and I am really looking forward to his run!

Something I wanted to point out is that over at Fandom there is a thread where a poster has an idea that these line-ups are all a hoax!And some of them really believe it.Casey in this interview clearly states that his team is a combo of 60s 70s and 90s characters ,gee that sounds like Wolvie and Nighty the only 70s characters left after Storm leaving for X-treme and Petey being dead.And then you have IceMan and Angel,theres your 60s characters.And Chamber represents the 90s.Casey has always stated in the past that he was only interested in 60s and 70s characters and Chamber was the only new character that he had interest in.Yet some people still cant accept the new line-ups.Fandom is always acting all holier than though with Wizard but they are getting just as hokey if not more.
Im sure thet will be thrilled with Rexs news about that Wizard cover wich pretty much confirms all this.I almost feel sorry for them.

I've never felt at home over at Fandom, they spend far too much time looking at the world through the lining of their own asses. But any way, I just didn't want you to feel lonely Drags!

I read that, but to tell you the truth, it didn't sound all that exiting or original. Casey seems to just be repeating what Quesada and Morrison have said. I'm not trying to be negetive, that's just the reason I've haven't responded. I still have a lot of optimism about how things are shaping up for the elf. It's just a huge relif that he's not getting killed or just shelved. I really want to see how the team will look. Has anyone seen any team shots of Casey's team?

I know Caseys ideas arent completely new but I am looking forward to the interaction of the line-up.Im just so sick of all the negativity floating around about this line-up that I thought I would post that interview sinse he will be in charge of our fuzzyelfs future.Im sure we will have plenty to say about Mr.Casey in the future wether it be good or bad.

Danke, DRAGS! That's a nice little interview...I'm REALLY starting to like this guy ! I'm looking forward to Casey's book and NOT just because Kurt's on the team. I'm guessing that in sharp contrast to the negative reaction to the promo art from Grant's team, the 1st Churchill shot we get of Casey's squad is going to get some tongues waggin'! (That piece he did of Jean stradling Logan that 's been floating around the net looks awesome.)

I had a disturbing dream early this morning. I stumbled across Casey's first issue of uncanny. The cover just looked awful, and poor Kurt was GREEN! So were the other guys. They all were this sickly green and wore green uniforms. And they were just standing there smiling stupidly, as if it was just some comical title.

Ok,ok I didnt know everyone would take the "hero" thing so literally.I just have great respect for a man who chose such and underated character such as Nightcrawler to usher in the new millenium when he could have used Gambit,Rogue ect.
This was also an attempt at being positive because of all the Casey bashing.Im just trying to be optimistic.Optimism does not=nievity.I mean there is still a chance that Kurt can go threw some funky mutation ala Beast,that I will not like.OR get killed off.Nothing wrong with trying to keep positive.

That's the spirit, DL! I feel good about BOTH books, and I think the characters Casey chose all have tons of untapped potential ('cept maybe Wolverine -- his has been tapped plenty). He's clearly got good taste, and isn't seduced by the high-profile, big-money characters (again, excepting Wolverine). I just hope he finds some women for his team, or Uncanny is gonna take on a bit of a lockerroom atmosphere ...

Thanks Rex now I dont feel so alone!Your right about the untapped potential of these guys.And I always wanted to see Kurt interact with Chamber and Iceman.People are saying how this concept isnt new.BUT I think its pretty fresh for a guy to not fall back on the same saftey net cash cow characters and try to make the best of these underated characters.If Casey decides to make ICEMAN an @sskicker than that would be pretty new.Espeacialy if he can kick Wolvies @ss!(heheh doubt it but its nice to speculate)

Easy Drags, I wasn't trying to be negative about your post. I'm glad you are excited about the upcoming x-men. As for the dream, I have all sort of crazy dreams. Couple nights ago, I was alowd to ride on the space shuttle, ala Crista Mckulla (sp). As they were strapping me in, I knock my elbow on a switch. That caused the shuttle to tip off of the landing pad and roll down a long hill (yes I know there are no hills in Florida) As I'm tumbling around inside this shuttle, I'm thinking, boy is Mission Control going to be pissed! I think that proves my dreams don't generally come true, because they make no sense whatsoever.

DRAGS I am also EXTREMELY excited about Casey's team! Since Casey likes the elf, he'll more than likely write him well...except that CC 'liked' him and we got the preist thing. And now it kinda weirds me out that CC isn't on the books simply because we may never know what went on during the 6 month gap...unless it's explained character by character. Sorry to be a bit of a pessimist abut that. But if he truly likes the character then hopefully he'll catch it if Churchill draws him with too many fingers/toes/whatever. A much as I like his style, Churchill had better done his research.
Dragsy, I don't blame you for the title, he's my hero too, just for putting that lineup together! Too bad Cecilia seems to be on the chopping block, they do indeed need a female member over here.
This is just an awesome lineup and I can't get over it. It's damn near what I would've picked. I mean you have the cash cow in Wolvie, so it will appease the editors, even though they supposedly don't need appeasing. PLus Wolvie has good dynamics with 3 of them for sure, and I'm sure he will with Chamber in no time. Overall, the group dynamic should be fantastic as long as they explore it.
OKay, Elwing and I noticed this while we were chattin'...<font size=+2 color=#050EC7>3 of 5 are BLUE.</font> Kurt, Warren, and Bobby are all blueish most(or all) of the time...<font size=+1>Anyone else see this as perhaps (in a small way) a <font size=+2 color=#050ec7>Blue</font><font size=+2>/<font color=#e7c605>Gold</font> <font size=+1>relaunch?</font></font></font>

I don't know why Kitty isn't popular with everyone else, but I can sum up my main reason in two words: X-Men Evolution. *gag* And I used to really like her. She was probably my second favorite, maybe even my favorite for a while, after I saw Pryde of the X-Men... yes, really. Give me a break, I was eight at the most! Maybe even seven! *cough* Uh, yeah.
So, even though I used to really like Kitty now I really don't. At the moment. I'll probably start liking her again after she returns to the X-books... maybe. But I'm not going to ask anyone to bring her back.

I don't want to poop this party, but I've been seeing some cautionary posts at fandom about the lineups not being set in stone. It probably a good idea to view this as a possible lineup, and not concrete fact. Things might change, and the elf may or may not actually be in uncanny.
