I have been working on a piece of fan fic for quite some time, but I keep getting side tracked. What with my new shop and writing for Nite-Flite etc. But I may have some time off in the next two weeks and I promise to put pen to paper (or Mit to key) and get it fleshed out. In the mean time I did this sketch of a very specific moment in the story. As usual it is my darker interpretation of the fuzzy elf so you guys probably won't like it! All I will tell you is that the story I want to tell you gets Nightcrawler out of the priesthood http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif And no, that is his own blood on his face!!!

The reason why I say you guys won't like it, isn't anything to do with my technique, but my conceptualization of the Nightcrawler character. I tend to have a very dark, edgy spin on the guy, and I know there are a lot of "fun-loving-fuzzy-elfs" out there who just don't dig it! This piece was inspired by me thinking about how NC could be handled in Marvel's new Epic line, hence the darker, more mature look.
So thanks for being so positive guys! And thanks Moonie and Elwing for putting me on your sites.
I know this may be waaaay out there but I've been thinking of solicting some stuff to some comic companies. Just to see the type of reaction I get. Does anybody have any ideas about how I should go about this?

Kick A@@ MIT! The look on Kurt's face...! *shudder* Dude, a great way to submit work would be if you could get your hands on a copy of the updated 'Marvel tryout book'.
Its REALLY helpful, and a good template for what many companies are looking for in regards to pencilling and storytelling!

Fanx Bamf! I will see if my comic book store can get me a copy of that book. I think I saw a really old version a few years back, it was done like the Stan Lee/Steve Buscema 'How to draw Comics, the Marvel Way' book. Has anyone read that? Now that's a kookie book! Some times I have to ask myself how many times Stan Lee was dropped on his head as a child???
